  • MILK KEFIR. One of the most powerful and effective fermented foods for our gut microbiome. There have been many tests on the amount of probiotics in milk kefir and it has been proven to be much more than (homemade / real) yogurt. These grains are powerful and said to have developed and discovered in the leather organ sacks around the Caucasus region while traveling long distances. The grains not only preserved the milk so that it was still consumable after days of traveling, but also make an strong gut elixir that has been celebrated around the world and prized for life longevity for generations. Hello, i bought some kefir grains from you ❤, and i just wanted to ask if i make something wrong, it always gets yellowish on the top and it tastes very cheesy.
I was watching like 1000 different kefir videos, and they are always pure white.
I am just worried that this isn't normal.😮
I compare the taste to the kefir you can buy at a supermarket, that's why i am not sure that the "old cheese like" taste is just right or i messed it up from the start
The Grains multiplied very well and they became big, that was something telling me, that i am doing right.😅

sounds like you might be leaving the milk sit there for longer than 24 hours? if so, then the cream settles at the top and can get yellowish and cheesy but that's nothing wrong. some like this strong taste and mix it in :)
