- Join me today to learn how to make milk kefir. We will start by unboxing kefir grains and then rehydrating kefir grains to make a fermented dairy drink that is loaded with probiotics. Kefir probiotics are so good for your gut health. You can add kefir to your kids smoothies and they will never even know it is there!
These are the grains that I used to make my milk kefir.www.azurestandard.com/shop/pr...
Eat your grains too. Some people even blend the excess grains into smoothies and stuff too if the grains are too strong for your taste to eat by themselves. You can throw like one cluser in a smoothie and keep your grains from getting out of hand.
That is something new to me. Thanks for making the video!
Thanks for watching my video Catherine, I should have grains to share soon if you want to give it a try.
Very understandable! Thank you for posting 🎁❣️
Thank you! This is very thorough. I want to start making this for my dogs.
Very helpful! We all probably need to take breaks from making kefir from time to time, and it's good to know the correct process for re-vitalizing them.
Thank u so much for sharing this. You helped me a lot!
Excellent instructions thank You
Thank you so much for this! Really helped me to get started with my kefir grains
I'm so glad this was a help to you. Thats why I'm here. Thank you for watching.
A lot of people say to rinse your grains between with either milk or unchlorinated water which is supposed to help the kefir not be sour and then do a second ferment without the grains in the fridge to make the kefir taste more sweet.
It's been 2 days and I feel like I need to add more. So thanks for this video
Good video thank you
I have been drinking kefir for about a year and have never felt better. I froze some grains for a couple days then dehydrated them. Now I am re hydrating. Hence you!!
I'm glad the kefir is helping you! Thanks for watching my video.

Thank you very good😊
At what point do you switch from Pasteurized milk to the raw milk? After day 3?
I am new to kefir but my grains aren't swelling.... I did as the instructions said to and here I am on day 3 with still dry kefir grains... is it something I did or is it possible that my grains are bad? I'm a little disappointed....
I have used only raw milk for rehydrating
Before changing the milk, can I use milk straight from the fridge or should I let it get to room temperature first?. My first activated kefir grains died because
1. I kept it with my kombucha.
2. I was absent few days so kept the jar in the fridge.
3. I mixed cream and milk sometimes
Thank you for your video, I will follow your tutorial
I use mine straight from the fridge.
if I am out for couple of weeks can I store grains in refrigerator without milk in a cup or something ?
Put your grains in a jar with a cup of milk and put it in your fridge.
is the milk in room temperature?
Yes, the culturing is done at room temp. Then, put it in the fridge when it's done culturing.
I bought milk kefir grains that came in a little glass jar with milk and grains. Do you sell the grains?
I don't think I want the dehydrated grains though.
No, I don't sell them, but you may be able to find some that are not dehydrated.
@@RamblingRoseFarmhouse ok thanks
I bought dehydrated grains - it took three or four days but I get _amazing_ Kefir! Thick, jelly-like Kefir and then after I've strained the grains out I put in the stick blender and it makes the Kefir silky smooth with a little fizz.
@@suecollins3246
That's good to know, thanks.
@@suecollins3246 where exactly did you buy yours? I give kefir to my dogs. Usually, I buy it from my Vet, but at $10 a jar I can make it myself thanks to this video.
Ive may kefir seeds in water in fridge for 6 months....are they dead....?it divides the protein of the milk with a yogurty layer on top....
Just take them out of the fridge and give them a try, they might be fine.
A little separation is normal. If it happens with mine I just use my stick blender. Result, silky smooth kefir...
My guess is yes...they starved to death.
Why do you throw away the milk from the two starters? Could they not be drunk or used somewhere else? I'm asking this because I don't like seeing anything wasted.
You could use them.
You could just pasteurise your raw milk and use that.
Yes, you could do that. Thanks for watching!
Nope, I use raw milk start to finish
Oh no, 🤦♀️ I bought raw milk and dehydrated grains, the type that is like powder. I think I should have watched this video firsthand 😂
Too long. Everyone short on time
