That baler cleaned up great.
Really excited to get working on this baler again soon, set it to the wayside earlier this year and if I don't find a new round baler by hay season, this will be my main baler. Time to get it tuned up over the winter!
That bolt on the flywheel is a shear pin.
Make sure you use the right shear bolt as they tempered for shearing under a certain strain. Too soft and you will shear them all the time and too hard and it can cause damage to other things. That can cost you bigger dollars. The tool box is for your shear bolts and nuts along with the wrenches. Keep us posted on the repairs on your baler please, not a lot of information out there on these.
Yup green baller parts is better then John Deere here in Washington too..

If you have any questionable springs replace them immediately they can save you lots of money and time in the long-term.
Fix that spring first! That is the protection for your needles. It activates the stop for the plunger when your needles are in the chamber
Check Fingerlakes equipment. Specialize in JD balers for parts
the spring you are talking about is the dog return spring if you loose it you may bail your forks up replace it
Replace the spring. Now!!
That wood thing is fine just makes racket, the feeder finger bushings, are more important then the wood.. knotters are easy.. I got a 800.00 224t does good I up dated knotters to 348 split knotters..
