- Nice little mail bag arrived from Banggood so let's have a look inside
The component tester gets a thorough test and also a tear down
The Laser Diode is examined and specs reviewed but is the subject of a later video for a full test with my CNC Projects

A great improvement over my older and broken component tester.... - วิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยี
Read an extensive test about this Daniu TC1 multi-function tester:

I like the rechargeable batterys and the color screen,I have a few of these non of mine came with those features.great video.
Thanks for the positive feedback
dude get a better microphone please it sounds like you are transmitting from mars and the transmission is blocked by belt of asteroids or something
Your microphone jack was loose contact
IO lo ho acquistato su Ebay lo sto aspettando
Hi Peter. I got one of the same laser modules + driver secondhand. Former owner apparently blew the transistor and replaced it with incorrect one, now sitting on wires. Can i have you unscrew the board and tell me what the transistor on the heatsink is marked as? (3-pin device) - Thanks!
How to check the IR
Looks like a much better device, compared to those "No Case" $14 meters.
I have a couple of the 'Cheaper', (crappy) ones!! THEY JUST DON'T WORK!!
Poor accuracy and doesn't read Inductors, (which IS why I bought them!!.
nice video I was looking for one like this cause i just order one of those testers . I did not know you can do so much with these devices . I learned something about laser too. Thanks for sharing.
Reverse engineer the damn thing and put up the schematic. That's what DSO-138 did. The Zener part is what interests me.
Dear Peter
Thank you for the review.
I ordered the tester and are awaiting delivery. Sure looks very usable.
Kind regards
Stephan
Yo do want to make sure you get some specs for that laser, that's *well* within the permanent eye damage power range.
450nm is well into the blue region, definitely not UV
I have multi-function tester TC1 but i can't turn on device. It worked little bit and theh drop dead. Maybe someone know solution. Thanks
I just got one and it doesn't work. The screen just shows white when you press the test button.
Just ordered it, looks like good value..Do I detect a hint of a Scottish accent Peter ??
David Price English perhaps. Not Scottish but I live in Canada the last 25 years
I didn't notice a battery charger, but I have a spare 750 mA max. phone one (Sony). Would you know the battery specs. just to be sure.
David Price a charger is not provided but pretty much any USB charger should work
Thanks Peter that was quick, I'll keep an eye on the temp when I first charge it. Pretty sure it would have over current protection. Am I right about the accent...
Peter Oakes+ Will these testers tell you the foil end of the poly caps or all caps?
I think you mean which end has the foil on the outer most surface of the cap so you can be sure to connect it to the right end of a circuit, I doubt it, to know the foil end you need to be able to use very different techniques than this has. But if you want to know how, here is a great video from Mr Carlson's Lab
th-cam.com/video/BnR_DLd1PDI/w-d-xo.html, ultimately simply based on using a scope and detecting where you get most HUM!, but here, Mr Carlson builds a tester to help make it simpler,
I watched it and I was hoping this would work, thanks

Here is forum discussion on thsee units aNd there clones. One of the developers also posts in there.
You need to look at your microphone it is full of static and crackles on and off?
I put an apology in the video and have also now discovered the issue, My Cell phone was in close proximity to the wire from mic and was interfering, lessoned learned :(, sorry for the annoying interference
Thanks for that demo, I'm going to get one (component tester) quality looked reasonable and I'm sick of try to read values on components. Wouldn't have been confident to buy without seeing this...
