Dunno why ppl so angry about the price... this is fully functional groovebox with keyboard and touchscreen and plugins etc. I mean me having boring Electribe sampler kinda understand the price tag. And it's not just a groovebox, it's an MPC. Not gonna buy one (coz there's enough gear for me already), but if i was looking for something to buy in 2024 i would buy this red beast.
@@PtownCaDaBay everybody knows, bro... but is there other groovebox with keyboard, plugins, wi-fi and touchscreen in this price range? i haven't seen anything close (and i wish)
I agree. It’s well worth the price tag for the hardware and the amount of software features this thing has. It blows away all other stand alone groove boxes IMO. I have a Live II Retro and I still want this. Having a XLR mic input would have taken it over the top. My only complaint is I wish it was easier to complete a full pop song with versus-chorus-bridge vocals all on the mpc without a computer to assist.
Super sick beat and I have a question. I’m trying to add drums to my melody. Like an off beat kick drum and snares kinda mf doom style. And it’s auto correcting my drums to the tempo, so I can’t add a drum in between the metronome. Any advice?
2gb of RAM is UNACCEPTABLE in 2024, they are repackaging the same internals of the mpc one from 2020. This is utterly rediculous! Same 10 year old processor and everything. Get real!
@@LonkDonkRAM is one of the cheapest components available. A 4 year old chromebook has 4gb of ram. No excuse to bottleneck us memory wise at a measly 2gb of RAM. not to mention using a 10 year old processor. Unacceptable.
I rather see a processor upgrade, giving better pitch algorithm and more effects at once. I never hit the ceiling for ram in none of my MPC’s unless I’m loading a bunch of stuff in not using it and forgetting to purge. Thinking back to all the hardware out there like sound modules for example the patches be like 2.2 mb playable across keys, whole bank like 512 MB in ram. It’s different when you compare it to a computer or modern phone. They dedicate ram to so much other things. MPC only has like 1-5 jobs probably. Idk I guess it’s how detailed you want your stuff to be. The audience they market to like hip hop, trap, edm, house shouldn’t be that ram intensive when most of the work is one shot .wav files. I’m all for growth in the hardware though.
I feel if Akai's going to limit most of their products to 2 GBs of RAM, they should at least make the memory expandable by making it where you can add more RAM volitionally. That's better than keeping folks limited.

No multiple outputs for daw sequencing.

2GB of memory is wild in 2024. They dropped the ball.@@PtownCaDaBay
Wow! Finally, someone who does not only know his gear, but actually knows how to make music too. Very impressive!

broooo!!!
Is the red as shiny as on the Akai Advertisement or more of a matt finish? In a lot of videos it seems way more Matt than I thought.
It's not super shiny, but it's not matte. We'd call it semi-gloss

Check the quantize and swing settings
How do you bounce down the stems?
There's lots of options in the save menu to get your tracks out of the MPC and into a DAW, check the manual or search youtube for a tutorial 😉
Too bad it’s red Wish they had other color
We'd love to see it in the retro colourway they did for the MPC One, fingers crossed!

didn't stop Amin making some 🔥🔥
MPC Key 61 and MPC X SE both have 4GB RAM, if that's your thing - but expect to pay more for those hardware specs
