Fun fact: when Bruce was filming the scene saying goodbye to Grace, he was talking to a photograph of his own daughter. So that emotion is very real ❤️
My husband just asked why he came in and saw me crying and then laughing hysterically a second later. So I tried to explain who you are and about your awesome puppers. I showed him the little cutie stand up behind you cause you were sad and then he was also laughing. The three of you together just make happy magic for the rest of us. Thank you for this one.

The first half of this film gets you invested. The second half rips your heart out.

He's Not Wrong Fact: Rockhound's (Steve Buscemi) line about sitting on a million pounds of fuel in a rocket built by the lowest bidder is a variation of an actual radio transmission by Mercury astronaut Alan Shepard, just prior to lift-off.

Everytime I see Michael Clarke Duncan on screen it puts a smile on my face. I met him a long time ago in NYC and he was the nicest person ever. A big teddy bear. RIP a great man.
This movie just hits so much harder in your feels to know what Bruce is going through now. He’s a damn legend. You’re the best reactor. Sending virtual hugs to you and your babies ❤❤❤
This movie gets me every time. The scene where Harry throws AJ into the airlock, the scene where he says goodbye to Grace, and the scene where he pushes the button and we get the images of her flashing by, it just hits me in the gut every time.

As a daddy's girl, this movie left me a sobbing mess in the theater. Harry saying goodbye to Grace gets me every freaking time. Then at the end with the pictures at the wedding, ugh my heart. The I Don't Want To Miss A Thing music video is also iconic that song still slaps
You and Steven Tyler. He didn't want to do the song until they showed him the movie. Said in an interview that they reached the part where she reaches out to the tv and he, blubbering like a child, said, "All right, all right! I'll do the song! I'll do the soo-oo-oong . . . !"
Glad it’s not just me that turns into a mess in that scene. Even just hearing the song breaks me
spoiling me with these times. this movie doesn’t get enough love for how great it is. the characters are just so lovable and hilarious. I don’t know how anyone can watch any of them kicking the bucket and not cry. when they succeed, it’s just the most triumphant thing ever. laughing, crying, and cheering. what more could you ask for? as a kid, the destruction scenes were horrifying. can’t forget the amazing music. I don’t know what else to say.
It is that they are a bunch of flawed misfits that makes them lovable and relatable.
If I was told I was needed to save the world like these characters I would step up too. But I would also be scared sh!tress just like they were.
There’s some dude that dies early or first and he has maybe a couple lines if that. Shows up in training scenes but he’s there just to die i think.

That's a true story lmao
I hate to defend him but Michael Bay was absolutely right. Decades of drilling experience and instinct can't be taught in a few day crash course. Also they weren't taught how to be astronauts, they were taught the pure basics and had actual astronauts to back them up, that makes actual sense.

You can't teach decades of drilling and instinct in a few days . It's impossible. Better off having drillers taking a chance in space. Especially with astronauts with them
Yeah Ben also didn't buy that NASA engineers couldn't follow a blueprint to put together a drill without screwing it up.
Don’t worry about the tears, it still gets me every time too. And when the producers were trying to convince Aerosmith to record the theme 'I don't want to miss a thing' they showed the final goodbye scene between Liv and Bruce to Steve Tyler. As soon as he saw his daughter calling for her daddy he was reduced to tears and agreed. 😭#Masterstroke
May just be a silly darn Michael Bay action movie, but you best believe Bruce Willis' sacrifice sure made some grown men teary-eyed (see: cry).

Man, I cried along with you :'( I know this is supposed to be a cheesy fun, popcorn movie, but it really hits me in the feels every time, because I would do the same thing Harry did to save him family and save the world, in a heartbeat..

I was 14 years old in the theater and at my most fake tough phase in life and I still remember the pain in my throat from trying not to cry when Ben Affleck screams ''Harry I love you!''. Feels so much better to blubber for 10 straight minutes.
You get up at six in the morning to go to a job that you hate, and before lunch a giant asteroid hits the earth. I would be mad as a mother 🤬. Great comment J 😂😂.

It's always so sweet how your copilots check up on you when you are sad. This was the first movie I saw in the cinema where I cried out loud.
The look on your face when Michael Clarke Duncan started dancing in his underwear made me spit water across the room, I was laughing so hard. Thank you for that! I also bawl my eyes out everytime I get to the scene where Harry sacrifices himself and says goodbye to AJ and Grace. 😭 Thank you for another stellar reaction! I can't wait to see what you do next!

Bruce Willis and Michael Clark Duncan became friends through this movie and it was Bruce who talked MCD into auditioning for The Green Mile.
Watching this movie now gives me a double dose of "life is unfair!". The universe seems out to get us, both in the movie and in real life. But I love Bruce, and this movie is really fun to watch. I'll think about the other stuff another time.
"Sling Blade" (1996) Billy Bob Thornton won the Academy Award for 🏆Best Writing, 🏆Adapted Screenplay, and he was also nominated for Best Actor in a Leading Role. His transformation into the character Karl Childers is perfection.
Love that movie. Really been hoping to see more reactors check it out.

I actually find it very impressive how well you remember actors names. Whenever I see a familiar face I usually just remember them as the person from whatever movie I saw them in before, but not their actual name.

I've watched this at least twice a year since it came out and cry every damn time at the Harry and Grace scene. So glad that was the same reaction I have to it.
Your babies were comforting you when they showed Harry gave his Mission Patch to AJ to give to Truman (Billy Bob). This movie is one of my faves and has a top tier cast! Severely underrated. I remember Deep Impact and Armageddon came out at the same time and wondered if “they” were trying to tell us something 😂
Every time I watch this movie, I ugly-face cry. The "smartest man on the planet" was played by Jason Issacs, who was Lucius Malfoy in the Harry Potter films & has a long list of other movie credits. Great reaction!!
It clicked for me soon as he asked. Its the eyebrows. Jay just watched Patriot as well in which Issacs does an awesome job. Honestly i should look up some more of his work because he is amazing in everything i see him in.

I LOVE this movie, one of my favorite bits of movie trivia is the dog in the beginning was specifically trained to attack godzillas, they had to hide them from the dog until they were filming
The only thing this has in common with "Deep Impact" is that someone has to go to space to save the world. There was so much laughter in this movie and DI had none. Both great movies (and I did cry at the end of both movies). Great reaction and always so sweet to see that those babies love you so much!
I always hated it when people compared them as if you could only choose one. I really enjoy them both for different reasons.

The final 10 minutes of this movie is extremely well done. Great drama and cinematography.
The guy who came up with the idea to blow the asteroid from the middle was Jason Isaacs. He plays villainess characters a lot and he is damn good at it but I love him in everything he does. He was the bad guy in The Patriot and he played Daddy Malfoy in the Harry Potter movies.
The CGI in this still holds up to this day, hell, it's better than most modern cgi movies.
I've been watching this movie since it came out. So many times over the years. I work with a bunch of old retired military guys, the toughest salt of this Earth and we go hard. I say this to say the following...I have teared up every single time watching this movie. So many stars in this movie playing such a diverse set of roles, all the explosions, the common good that halts all our petty crap as a race to unite against a single foe...inanimate...cold...uncaring and the end of us all. Just a great movie all around. Cheers.

This movie I seen in the theaters when my daughter was 4 years old and me and her mom divorced in 2006 and i haven’t seen my daughter in over 12 years and I seen her for the first time this week and I was watching your reaction this EOM and when you started crying I lost it myself 😢my daughter is now 32 and has 3 kids of her own and the song just killed me tonight im just sick 😢brother thsnk you do making this my “homecoming “. Man…. When your hand started shaking when seeing Harry trick AJ and telling him to take care of his daughter. cried right along, this is just one of those movies. When it’s on TV the remote stays down

I've seen this movie a dozen times, but that one scene still makes me cry like a baby.
The older I get the cheesier this movie feels, but man watching this as a kid it was glorious. It still gets by on humor and the charm of the supporting characters. It’s just really fun.
I’ll never think of this movie as cheesy because it has it’s funny, serious, sad, romantic and exciting moments
Yes, it is cheesy and sappy and ridiculous.
An entire crew of oil drillers have to save the world from a 2,000 mile asteroid that no telescope on the planet had ever observed before 18 days till impact because NASA is continuously looking at the same 1% of the sky, and never observing in any other directions, and the oil drillers have to do it because NASA engineers can't figure out how to operate a drill designed by a fool, and that can be worked by one person with almost no experience using it.
Before this, one of my favorite movies was (still is) _When Worlds Collide_ and then earlier in the year _Deep Impact_ came out and it was basically a modernization of _When Worlds Collide_ and I saw it in the theater and I still love that movie.
We (my brothers and I) grew up understanding science.
My father wrote a manual on how to write technical manuals.
Yeah.
If we were too sick to go to school our mom made us watch _Cosmos_ or _Demonstrations In Physics_ and we understood the space program and how astonomy works so this movie was always just a ridiculous comedy parody with no logical story.
It is fun to laugh at.
The only reason they send the drilling crew is because NASA couldn't figure out how to follow a set of blueprints or how to troubleshoot and problem-solve on a drill designed by a guy who's not too bright, and whose character arc goes from launching golf balls at Greenpeace to being stuck on a ball that's going to destroy the world, magnifying his idiocy and personal growth in a way that is almost indiscernible as being juxtaposed against who he was at the start of the movie.

Armageddon is my all time favorite movie. Laugh every time. Cry every single time. Never gets old, ever! I know every line to the whole, long ass movie
I feel like Michael Clarke Duncan was one of those kids that was really into trucks and his parent just never told him you can’t actually grow up and be a truck. Explains why he’s so damn huge he was training his whole life to be optimus prime.
As Affleck later recalled in a DVD commentary about the movie, "I asked Michael [Bay] why it was easier to train oil drillers to become astronauts than it was to train astronauts to become oil drillers, and he told me to shut the f**k up."
I have yet to see a first time viewer of this movie not shed tears when Harry says goodbye to Grace. I still cry knowing it's coming.

Absolutely love your reactions man! This movie still to this day is one of very few films that will make a grown man cry. The ending with Bruce Willis and Ben Affleck gets me every single time. The fact he was always hard on him because he’s thought of him as a Son is so sad saying goodbye. Then of course the goodbye to Grace at the end is heart wrenching…. Absolute great underrated movie!

I literally haven't watched Armageddon since around the time it dropped on DVD back in the day. I generally make it a rule to not watch movies that have made me cry and Armageddon was one of the ones that broke me. I start tearing up just knowing what was about to happen while you were watching and still had to pause because my eyesss. DEVASTATION!! 😭

Fun fact. Michael Clarke’s mother was very strict and religious. She didn’t like it when he did this strip tease and was almost naked and she let him have it. Which is why he never did anything like that again.
