Just be careful with these new brake lines. Stopping power is 10x now - one of my buddies did this mod and accidentally did a super fast stoppie which caused his bike to flip so fast it created a black hole and destroyed half our city before we could shut it down.
You got a decent size compressor for the things you'll be using it for the accessory kit will allow you to do just about anything you're looking to do all you have to worried about is running too long of a hose, More hose less power... not to be confused with a biggie quote
nice video..i love it so much bro..i wanna suggest something..maybe u can replace the rear monoshock with the ohlin..i think it would be great with the gold forks
They sent you a corse thread ? Spielgler lines are a nightmare to short on the front and to tight a hose angles I read a few forums and went no no .. Frentubo race hoses are way better cheaper and they fit perfectly.
I got metallic orange oil fill caps on the duke 125. Looks way better than the plastic black ones. Can you see any fill caps on the R6? You should get them in metallic gold
Thanks so much for the great vid as always. Urgent question. I just installed the Spiegler brake lines on my 2017 R6 as well and the line for the right front caliper is very short. So much so that when the forms are not compressed and the handle bars are tunende all the way to the left, the line is pulling on the manifold. It just doesn’t feel right and I am worried that it might ultimately brake and leak. That would obviously very dangerous. I already contacted Spiegler but they didn’t respond. Can you check yours and let me know if you see a similar phenomenon. Thanks so much. I can send pictures and videos of that helps.
I definitely don't have that issue. Did you order the ABS version and keep your ABS system intact? Did you double check that you used the right lines in the right places?
Motonosity wow, thanks so much for the swift reply. Amazing. Yes, I checked all that and yes, I did get the ABS kit. I’ll post here once the reply from Spiegler is in. So do I understand you correct that even with the fork extended and all the way to the left, your lines have a little bit of “slack”
The left caliper line is 15.5 inch and the right is about an inch shorter. I simply ordered another left one with Spiegler. Unfortunately, they did not acknowledge that it should have been longer in the first place and charged me $62 for the replacement line ;-(
Nice video Nosity! I wish I had waited to do my brakes, so I could see that an Air Compressor works wonders when bleeding the brakes! Man you can probably imagine the struggle I went through using just a hand pump that came with my kit smh lmao! I should of posted a vid of that! but next time!
Can't wait to check it out! Haha see how messy you got if any like I did.. Better me than my bike getting messy ha! I'll most likely purchase the Porter Compressor that you mentioned.. But we'll see I like Rigid over Porter lol.. Thanks for the reply man! Love the interaction you give to your Subs!
Seth King working on bikes is the second best thing to do with bikes, riding being number one of course. It is just awesome having some buddies over, working on bikes and having some Barbeque.
Seth King working on bikes are relatively simple to work on. I used to say the same for fairings but once you do them a few times you can remove them in 5 minutes lol
Dude i was about to comment and ask you on your video yesterday, why you haven't done this mode yet! BTW bike looks great keep up with the good work !!!!
Motonosity : Yea it might even do everything for your motorcycles being that most of them are relatively new and you keep them indoors. It just may be worthless for the 240 project where bolts are rusted or crank bolt for harmonic dampener removal. The pancake style is normally for carpentry or construction where you need short concentrated bursts of pressure for a tool like nail guns.
People do realize there's steel lines in your stock lines... Lol it's not a big balloon... It's jsut they're stiffer than the stock ones... As for the ballooning with stock... U can't even see it... It's more placebo than not
Brett Young you absolutely notice the difference. For street Riding its much less about balooning and more about a linear, precise feel in your brakes.
I can tell you, from personal experience, that the feeling isn't placebo. I was changing brake lines that were over 10 years old to brand new stainless lines though. Well beyond the service life of the standard lines. Yamaha themselves say to replace the standard lines every 4 years.
The spiegler kit isnt the best the front brake lines are about 1 inch to short on the front hoses. Don't put it on a front stand to get full extension with the forks as your going to bend your block bracket and possibly pull you banjo out. The Frentubo T2 or T4 are a way better kit for the 2017 R6 Abs.
Your lucky you don’t have a bmw or triumph. Those require a dealer proprietary computer software in order to actuate the abs to get the air out when bleeding brakes. But don’t worry you got a Japanese bike😋
Motonosity have been a sub since you had the R1 at COTA, and have enjoyed all your build series videos over the last couple of years. Love all the vids!
+fatz slim I had a trailer. Got sick of it taking up space and didn't want to pay to store it. I don't trailer enough for it to be worth it to own one.
Motonosity Haha. that's why I'm watching your motovlogs bro. 😁🤘. I already learn some stuff. but we'll, there's some other stuffs that I prefer to not touch witch my hands. Too many risk, and I cannot afford another bike if I do something wrong 😅😅. You're one of my favourites motovlogers. And I mean it. Congrats from Switzerland. Ride safe ✌
Motonosity I'm just playin around... 78% of my tools are from harbor freight.... I got a Craftsman Air compressor ... I Feel a little safer with what I got ... but I do think I. Getin the Brake line cleaner jawn from there ... looks like it got all the Liquid out of your lines for ya ...im thinking of doin my next year
Don't buy this kit for your R6, or if you do, don't use the banjo bolts in the kit. The lines are twisted and the aluminum banjo bolts are too big, and tools are defective to correct it. The bolts stripped my rear manifold and I didn't risk twisting my ABS lines with their garbage plastic tool trying make them fit. STG refused to refund the cost of my parts, so I fucked Brian Van on the whole kit cost. $240. I ordered Galfers.
Just be careful with these new brake lines. Stopping power is 10x now - one of my buddies did this mod and accidentally did a super fast stoppie which caused his bike to flip so fast it created a black hole and destroyed half our city before we could shut it down.
The Inja 😂😂😂😂💪💪
Hahahaha!!!
+The Inja haha yeah I'm pretty used to crazy stopping power on my CRF now
That escalated quickly😂
This comment started out normal and then just went loco 0-100 real quick
You got a decent size compressor for the things you'll be using it for the accessory kit will allow you to do just about anything you're looking to do all you have to worried about is running too long of a hose, More hose less power... not to be confused with a biggie quote
Another sweet serene setting to work on the bike and great video editing! I dropped everything to watch this video haha.
+Trader Joe preciate that 🙏🏻
My 50cc moped had steel braided brake lines stock :D
alluman00 same
Thank you motonosity for always making amazing quality videos!
+nikhil maharaj Thanks Nikhil!
Spiegler has some real high Quality stuff. I use their evolution levers on my 2012 ktm duke 690. Awesome stuff.
My chinese pit bike has braided brake lines from the factory :D
Good choice with rigid comp . i need to do brakelines on 2017 gsxr 1k front brakes are known too be super spongy
I'm really considering installing a stainless steel brake line. Thanks for the video and leaving the links in the video description.
that r6 deserves a gold rear shock spring! maybe a cheeky ohlins system?
I wish I was as good as you at doing this at home modding LOL! Finish your build series on the car you bought! That one will be epic!
Maybe you should change your rear suspension with ohlins to get the gold accent or maybe just colouring it with gold
Rigid is a great brand! Just remember to use teflon tape on all fittings!
nice video..i love it so much bro..i wanna suggest something..maybe u can replace the rear monoshock with the ohlin..i think it would be great with the gold forks
They sent you a corse thread ?
Spielgler lines are a nightmare to short on the front and to tight a hose angles I read a few forums and went no no .. Frentubo race hoses are way better cheaper and they fit perfectly.
whoo, it's here
Aw man, 2 hours late...
That back yard is amazing.
Did you have to delete the abs to put on those steel brake cables?
I got metallic orange oil fill caps on the duke 125. Looks way better than the plastic black ones. Can you see any fill caps on the R6? You should get them in metallic gold
So... You released yesterday's video so you didn't have to scrap this intro? Love it 😂
Brembo brakes or ohlins suspension next upgrade???????
Old comment I know, but someone wanted to spend that kind of dough on that they should just buy a Daytona 675r tbh. Comes stock with both 🤷🏾♂️
@@stronggeek1 ohlins for sure
Woot! Notification squad!
w00t!

Hi motonosity what is that thing you put in on bikes mirror place..what we call it.pls tell
Moto I didn't know you liked the badgers!!!Im actually from Wisconsin.
+Sawyer Clerkin awesome! Yeah my dad went to UW
Motonosity, does the R6 have ABS? Can you use braided brake lines, won't be interfere with ABS?
Is Your R6 shooting flames without catalytic converter ?? Thats very important question :)
I've heard that steel braided lines make a huge difference in brake feel.
Irontalyn they absolutely do.
My bike had them when I got it so I don't really have any comparison.
Irontalyn my current one had so too, my first one had rubber ones until i Switched them.
My previous bike was 36 years old and had a single disc in front and a drum in the back so my new one just feels insane no matter what.
R6 has abs? Before changing lines do you have to take off abs?
I thought the new R6 had them fitted from factory, is there even much difference between the old R6 and the new? Minus the electronics
Is there a protective layer covering the lines?
you'll see my R6 in my vlogs soon... you inspired me for that bike
Nice video Nosity! I wish I had waited to do my brakes, so I could see that an Air Compressor works wonders when bleeding the brakes! Man you can probably imagine the struggle I went through using just a hand pump that came with my kit smh lmao! I should of posted a vid of that! but next time!
+JD Nasty Oh for sure! It sucks! Haha wait til you see the vid tomorrow. Compressor makes bleeding new lines a breeze.
Go Buckeyes Beat Wisconsin this Saturday!
Ive been subscribed for a while, and if i remember right your old r6 was black and gold. Is that what you're going for?
I don’t know how you do all this work on your bikes, I wanted to die just from changing plastics on my buddies GSXR with him 😂
Seth King working on bikes is the second best thing to do with bikes, riding being number one of course.
It is just awesome having some buddies over, working on bikes and having some Barbeque.
Seth King working on bikes are relatively simple to work on. I used to say the same for fairings but once you do them a few times you can remove them in 5 minutes lol
Bike looks really good Moto, have you considered putting on some BK Moto projectors? That would look great on your bike!
+chico suave didn't know there was a kit for the 2017
Motonosity my bad man. That would be cool tho.
Will you get brembos?
nice work man
My moped comes with steel braided brake lines stock

+Kωνσταντίνος Καλαντζής thanks a lot man 😁
How come we can't see the video in your feed?
Edit: huh turns out it needs a little time to appear
thats one hell of a sexy bike!
A new video!! 🎉
M was sent these for free to pitch the product just like most of the stuff he installs. Caveat Emptor.
We got a vaccum brake bleeder and its sooooooo much easier now
So what's wrong with the Robert Jose's?
the dent on the radiator 13:20 really bothers me.
turns out my 50cc scooter has metal braided brake lines too, didnt realise you could get it without, so i guess thats cool? xD
Wait is that for real? New Sony camera overheated? Asking for a friend
+The Inja in direct sunlight shooting for a couple hours, yeah
Nice backyard
the og threads are lot steeper on the mastercylinder
Haha nice backyard setup bro dam👌
What does her parents do for a living ?
Gold chain? they always look good. If you think it would look good you could probably get a blue sprocket, or a gold sprocket and blue chain lol
#NotificationSquad!
You got a pancake style air compressor for motorcycle/ automotive use? Good luck big guy.
I got it for basic use cases like this, filling up tires, or filling my cheetah blaster. Worked perfectly for me.
Motonosity : Yea it might even do everything for your motorcycles being that most of them are relatively new and you keep them indoors. It just may be worthless for the 240 project where bolts are rusted or crank bolt for harmonic dampener removal. what is your job?
+Mr.Snake youtube
Motonosity nothing else? Wow that is impressive, good job

Brett Young yep
+Brett Young I can assure you it ain't placebo hahahaha
Haha oh yeah tell that to track riders who actually seen ballooned lines.
Yamaha themselves say to replace the standard lines every 4 years.
you won't your tvs get stolen?

1 year and half has gone now
And i didnt buy a bike !!!!!
Because im scared im gonna regret that
Cause i live in a really hot place 😢
Bassel Othman What are you scared for?

So am only able to ride on like just 5 months/year
Bassel Othman Where you from?
Reptilian Overlord
Dubai
Get a cheap one and build a cafe racer during the hot months! You'll love building one and love riding it during the cool months. ☕
I have had a really bad experience with rigid’s products, so just please be careful with your new air compressor!
13:29 you know what people say about big hands.... ;)
put some Supercorsa's on the R6 and head to COTA!
+tdidier9876 definitely going when I get a chance!
Motonosity have been a sub since you had the R1 at COTA, and have enjoyed all your build series videos over the last couple of years. Love all the vids!
Didn't like the r6 at first, it's grown a lot on me tho!
Why haven't you brought a trailer yet. Dont you get tired of renting one.
+fatz slim I had a trailer. Got sick of it taking up space and didn't want to pay to store it. I don't trailer enough for it to be worth it to own one.

Where is the r3
Seriously what do you do for a living man ? Haha 😁👍
Turn the r6 into a stunt build

Seems like you're super rich
I am not.
