Mike Pappas of dead air said the nomad L was built to be the quietest 300blk suppressor possible for a military requirement. They found that as they used higher pressure cartridges it handled them very well too.
I just got done with paperwork and finger print yesterday for Nomad L . Thanks for making this video. I can't wait to try it out on my brandnew mcx rattler 3ooblk out ...
Mr. Downing does it again great video man, I appricate the honesty I deffently expected a more stark contrast between the sandman and nomad but it sounded fantastic on the 11.5!
Thanks Franks 👊🏻 Ya I was expecting more of a contrast but I was still pleased. I’m gonna do another video with the 308 and some sub 300 blk. That should be more noticeable I would think.
I really like your rifles. I would love to get a 9mm can for my 9mm build. It's about the only thing I have t done to it. I'm already working on my next upper. I'm building a .458 SOCOM in memory of my dad. He loved the 45-70 and know he would have loved this cartridge. I also need to build a SBR when I move out of this hellhole Illinois. All in good time. I love the cans. It's not fair Illinois sucks.
I'm only a few months out from getting my Nomad 30 stamp in... hopefully... The Nomad 30 LT is one ill probably add to the collection some day. Great video as always keepem coming brother!!!
@@CalebDowning was new into guns and as usual I started diving down the rabbit hole of TH-cam and I came across your old video. Now today you were in my recommendations and it clicked. Since I have been going through your videos and they are great man. You review al it if things I have been looking into especially with the suppressors from dead air.
That’s great man! I’m glad your enjoying the content. I love my Dead Air cans. If money want an obstacle I’d have all their stuff. I honestly have been impressed with everything I’ve used from them, some more than others.
It’s better suppressed for sure. I haven’t shot it much unsuppressed but after fixing the gas issue it’s running better both suppressed and unsuppressed. Finding good mags is my main issue.
@@CalebDowning I saw on a forum that a guy that works at dead air said to just watch short barrels and magdumps Because the heat erosion against the unburnt powder causes the first baffle to wear out
Nomad isn't sandman tough but it's still a tank. I know a dude that has shot the living shit out of his and it's been fine. It was re build once but that was after some serious use for years of shooting daily.

Ya buddy 👊🏻 Great choice in a can 👍
I just did a specific 300BLK suppressor comparison with Dead Air cans and the Nomad L was the clear winner 👌
Significant change. Hard to tell real difference without a decimal meter.
Thanks Caleb.
I’ve thought of getting a DB reader but dang, those are expensive 😬 Thanks Mike 👍

@@CalebDowning and THIS is why your the man, if you need subs we can link up and I can get some out to you for both!
Thanks man. I believe I have some 220gr subs. Those are pretty quiet 🤫😁

When your finally liberated from there you could look into the new Primal from Dead Air. It’d work for your 9mm and that new .458 SOCOM 😁
@@CalebDowning sweet I love it when things work with other firearms.
I put the Nomad LTi on my scar 17, very light for its size.
Oo, great application 😎👌

Did your 7.62x39 build run unsuppressed reliably? I've had issues with undergassing. Only runs mostly reliably suppressed.

I expect that mag catch to be fixed! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. Great vid!!!

Think the nomad is hard use too
I believe it’s rated for hard use but the always say it’s more of a recreational can than a heavy use can 🤔

That’s interesting. Good to know though 👍
This same video with subs next time brother.
I plan to 👍
I can say with experience that a Sig Rattler with Nomad L is stupid quiet but sounds good with the Sandman S.
Dude, you're going to be deaf. Those setups can't be hearing-safe...?
Probably 😬 Ya they are on the cusp of hearing safe according to decibel testing from other sources 🤷♂️

True 👍
