- Carlos Gardel - Por Una Cabeza (arranged for solo violin by Augustin Hadelich)
Augustin Hadelich, violin
Filmed live on December 7, 2022 in Winterthur, Switzerland. Many Thanks to Musikkollegium Winterthur! - เพลง
The orchestra is smiling because they realize Hadelich doesn't need them.
I just love how the rest of the musicians listen to Augustine with admiration and a smile on their faces.
Exactly, unlike those who gape into the soloist’s soul! 👀
Woooooow Por Una Cabeza arranged by Augustin!! This is the best version I've ever heard, it sounds like two violins singing together beautifully.
but where can I get the sheet music? I wanna purchase it
The arrangement is top tier, also agree the best version I've heard until now. Bravo Augustin! :D
@@maxdonaldson861 Thanks but I want this solo version..
@@TheCreate78 let me know if you find it. I want to play it too :)
@@yubobao27 This arrangement is extremly difficult, if you can play this for sure you can transcribe what he's playing.
I stand up and clap even though I am watching it on TH-cam..
Jeez, the way his G string reverberates gives me goosebumps every time
I saw him play this live at a different concert and it was just incredible. It was his second encore and I just wanted him to keep playing encores for the rest of the concert.
Unbelievable skill and phrasing and his projection is something else. Sounded like two violinists
Awww lucky!
I wished him to play this in Taipei, but sadly it didn't come true. But still excellent recital.
Same for me as well! Second encore after the Mendelssohn last night. It was magical!
dude how the hell can this man play literally EVERYTHING
Omg you're playing both parts at once 🤯
Having just arranged Por Una Cabeza for multiple different ensembles, I can't get my head around how he managed to fit so many voices into the one part. Admittedly he is not so restricted in level of difficulty as I am, but the arrangement clearly works nicely on the violin, and is not just playable. It seemed like his bow was moving in two different directions at once; the performance lived up to the arrangement and sounded like multiple instruments.
Wow, I’ve always loved Hadelich but this just bumped him all the way to the top of my list
This. THIS!!!!
He has to be the best ever. Yet he's so humble. A consummate musician. A master of masters.
Who did he replace? who are your top 5?
Superb performance!!
Notice the way the other musicians look at him at 0:35, pure admiration!
So graceful and expressive it easily rivalries with Perlman's one.
indeed
What an incredible performance! 100 years from now, he’s going to be remembered as one of the best violinist in the history, bravo👏👏👏
この表現力、音りょ
音ひつ一度でいいからなまで聞きたいものですねーこいう天才が同じ世に生きているだけで心地よいです。
:D It's always so fun to watch the smiles on the orchestra members' faces while Augustin is playing ^^ I'm smiling too~
The king of violin and his astonishing arrangement!!! Totally astounding...
yes he is
Absolutely amazing I don’t think I’ve ever heard someone who is perfect in every way until now.
your best violinist in the world man ❤❤❤
I cant just say this was good... This was Perfect... The notes, pitch etc... Everything was perfect. 10/10
OMG... How could this even be possible?
Bravo, bravo, bravo.
Incredible Augustin!! This performance was historic.
Those were some of the best invested 02:39m of the rest of my life… INCREDIBLE ❤️
Double stops and chords make the music more beautiful ❤
Yes very true. But difficult to master. 😭
The man plays like he has octo-fingers. 🐙 Absolutely stunning performance! 👏
If you had made just this single arrangement in your entire life it would already be a life worth living. Hope he reads this, it's my thanks for giving me something beautiful to go back to every time i need it.
Amazing, one of the best tango songs performed by one of the best violinists. Thanks you A. Hadelich.
Heard this in encore with Philadelphia Orchestra last Saturday night after wonderful Sebelius, so beautiful in person too. LOVE.
Lucky
Sibelius, as in the violin concerto?
This Guy doesnt Need an orchestra
BRAVO!!!! Ich bin begeistert 👍💖💖💖
Bravo bravo bravo
Tears were streaming down my face as I was hearing Mr. Hadelich play this piece. My mother who passed away in 2015 at the very ripe age of 99 used to love this beautiful tango by Carlos Gardel. It was her favorite. Bravo maestro. Impeccable!!!!
Just wonderful! Augustin Hadelich is the Jascha Heifetz of the 21st century.
No pararé de estudiar el violín hasta que me salga algo parecido a tu arreglo master!!!
I don't even have words for what I just watch. Stunning? Masterful? I think I will simply say, Perfect!
Wow……………..just wow. I have no words. This gave me chills.
Ah, there you go again-playing two violins at once, ha ha! Magnificent arrangement!💝
The greatest violinists used to always arrange their own pieces, write their own cadenzas so i love to see this! I also love to see the expressions from the other artists in the orchestra, they cant help but smile at parts they find particularly impressive, its the greatest compliment in my opinion
Es la interpretación más majestuosa que he escuchado de ese tango... sin duda un maestro del violín el Gran August.
I don't know how he plays to make such a big resonance. He seems to be one of a few who can produce the tone without hitting the strings so hard. Also look at his left fingers dangling from the air with no reference point whatsoever yet hitting the fingerboard so accurately. He definitely has a very strong muscle memory!
the secret is in placement of his right hand! He does not press on the first finger.
The polyphony is handled quite nicely in your arrangement. Hats off!
Was listening in my car and could have sworn there were multiple instruments playing.
Сколько страсти! Восторг!
sehr schön, lieber augustin 🙂
AMAZING arrangement and execution!! Heifetz’s influence still lives on🎉
I'm sorry, but if Augustin is influenced by Heifetz, then the student has become the master and perfected violin further.
Vielen Dank für dieses wundervolle Konzert! Ich hatte wirklich schon gedacht, dass Sie diese Zugabe selber arrangiert haben. Wir waren alle begeistert und hoffen Sie bald wieder bei uns zu hören!
Oh my god it’s amazing how he voices the different lines. Everyone has got their own character
Это невероятно талантливо! Браво, Маэстро!
Thank you for posting the score for this piece on your webpage, Dr Hadelich.
Heard this arrangement as an encore a few months ago in Brussels, I am so glad this is finally uploaded on TH-cam!
Incredible performance, such a talented person
Augustin was in Brussels?!? How did I miss that! Painful! How I wish I had known!
Extraordinary, Superbe, Magnifique et très très jolie♥️
For me, - you are playing EVERYTHING with such intension and perfekt with heart and knowledge .
Wonderful!!!!
Because of your playing, I started to learn the violin. Although I'm a beginner, I'll try my best to be like you. I know it's impposible to be like you. ㅠㅠ
Klasse!
Besides the meticulous arrangement, his articulation of this piece in this exact performance is unreal. My favorite Por Una Cabeza for sure.
Come sono bravi i vostri musicisti!! E' un piacere ascoltarli!! Grazie!👏🏻👏🏻
This arrangement is pure genius. Beautiful
Oh, my! So beautiful! Bravissimo!

You are one of my favorite violinists. Technical, precise and so musical. Wonderful arrangement as well.
Augustine Hadelich is very talented, he also plays piano well . Bravo.
You are a genius!! Most brilliant arrangement ever!! I was there listening to you playing this piece in Alice Tully Hall last summer (2023)!!You were absolutely amazing!!! It was my dream come true to hearing/watching you play in person!!! You are my favorite violinist!! I am going to Carnegie Hall next month to watching you play again!! So looking forward to it!!!
