We use to helped my Mother clean & wash hog chitterlings & maws to cook together & eat with collard greens , rice & cornbread ! Thank you for putting in the work & sharing with us !
Cook mine in a pressure cooker, cuts the time by half, serve with greens , rice, cornbread with boysenberry jam, turn off the phone, Don't answer the door !!! Great eats !
Hi Ann. I think i ate hog maws with chitterlings a long time ago. They tasted alright, i wasn't crazy about it, though. You never fail to give us great recipes. You're the best! Awesome video, hon. Have a nice day. 😘
It takes hog maws awhile to cook about 2 1/2 - 3 hours to cook you will have to start with a full pot of water and add water to the pot as long as the hog maws are tough once they tender up stop adding the water and let them cook down to a gravy.
And hog maws are tough like leather until you cook them and not as tender and tasty as chitterlings, both are over priced. But my daddy loved them. At last try them once.
@@georgiacookingforthesoul we have our personal farm in Hernando Mississippi. We throw away so much that we used to use when I grew up. I used to keep it all but it just be to much and I don't cook it enough. I made a heart stew this week
@Elsoltero_Feliz I thought so, I wanted to ask but was afraid of being wrong. It's amazing you have your own farm, I know you have a lot of everything. Thank You so much for your comment!

My mother used to mix with her chittlings,
@RaneshaSmith I mix them sometimes, too, and they taste so good.

Thank You so much Sweetheart! Chattering and Hog Maws are something you have to grow up eating, and liking. You just can't jump and start liking it.
@@georgiacookingforthesoul lol, that's correct 😘
Right on time!! Thank you!!
You are so welcome!
How long does it take to cook, and how much water did you put in the pot.

Hog maws is the exterior lining of the pigs stomach.
That’s right Helen.
What's the difference between hog maw and chittlins?
Hog maws are the hogs stomach and chitterlings is the intestines.
And hog maws are tough like leather until you cook them and not as tender and tasty as chitterlings, both are over priced. But my daddy loved them. At last try them once.
Most people add Hog Maws to Chitlins to stretch them
6 to 8 hrs on Hog Maws 4-5 hr on Chitlin at 350
Okay
@@georgiacookingforthesoulbut 4hr on hog maw will fully cook them
❤❤
Thank you so much!

Thank You so much!

Okay, I hope you can find some. Maybe kinda hard with the holiday approaching.
Chitterlings are the intestines
Correct again. Thank You for your comments.
Best way to clean is using kitchen ✂️! It gets all that mess off!
I have kitchen shears, and they aren't as good as a knife at times.
@@georgiacookingforthesoul I guess depends on how sharp, but mines get me on through there in much lesser time.
@@Keke-vs7gm okay to each their own. Everyone does things differently.
Hog maws are the stomach. No doo doo involved

Okay
It’s the pig stomach.. 🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️ it’s has NOTHING to do with its intestines … WOW
Right, you are stomach, not the intestines.
She said connected to the intestines, which is correct
Digestive track close enough

Embarrassing lol. You must know what you consume
I love y’all make sure baby girl have on her clothes please
I don't know what you are talking about.
I get fresh hog maws every other week. I just stop fooling with them because of all the work
Yes, they are a lot of work. I don't want to eat them that regular, I will get tired of them fast.

@Elsoltero_Feliz I understand that, because right now I think it's cold almost everywhere. Just stay safe and do what you can without overdoing it.
