Moroccan here. From what I've heard from friends and family who were significantly affected from the earthquake, many roads are blocked due to the amount of aid that's coming in. This has led many people to die due to ambulances having a hard time to get to villages that need them. It's easy to imagine, roads to tiny villages aren't made for that much traffic. The big issue that has probably led to a lot of deaths is the distribution of aid, not the amount of it. Many isolated villages have had little to no aid, while others have received too much aid. This is due to roads not being a thing in some places. This is just speculation, so i could be completely wrong, but this could also be part of the decision to refuse some aid.
I would call a huge bluff of that. Did you actually seen that huge traffic that block whole roads anywhere? The "aid" is not only goods to begin with, it could be rescue helicopter at the same time. It more often actually incudes trained specialists with whole equipment, then some food in crates. Especially in stuff like earthquake, where any trained rescue group with equipment is worth a lot of more then just dozen of random people with shovels. Most reason for turning down a help is just that country itself is not able to directly menage aid or directly control all third parties but had a huge need(usually political) to do so.

the first one seems more than unlikely since Gaul in French also means "boner" oof!
For a second I thought toycat was drinking out of a canola oil bottle 💀
I'm so distracted by the edge of your green screen
"After India changed its name to 'Bharat,' Nepal is considering changing its name to 'I'm With Stupid.' "
As a citizen of nepal "NO we arent"
India is called Bharat as well. Just like germany is called as Deutschland. Don't comment here with ur half baked knowledge 😂😂
They also turned down Dutch aid I am unsure if they have accepted it by now
Maybe the conditions for the "help" isn't beneficial top Marocco in the long term.
I was thinking that, it may cause dept to Morocco that it doesn't want or some other catch
@Dacian_mapping Desaster Relief is usually free of and catch...I think the reason is optics. The government believes it would not be "a good look" to accept help from those countries. They may look weak, etc....
@@tzarcoal1018 that just makes it better, accept the aid and destroy Algeria as now Algeria thinks Morocco is weak and won't expect anything, got to love warfare and it's tactics
I'm not opposed to name changes, if they (i.e. population) want it it's their right.
But it's just so damn stupid when it's just beating into nationalistic drum by politicians for clout, to gain support and show how amazingly patriotic and anti-western they are, and everyone's just inconvinienced by it
If they were really patriotic they would expand civil rights and liberties and improve standard of living but good luck seeing this in Turkiye, India and Myanmar
Also about anti-colonization sentiment: all those countries gained independence 50-70 years ago, just own up to the fact you allowed politicians who can't govern a barn to be in charge for so long
wrong its not due to nationalism, we literally accepted aid from spain and israel of all people.
Huge plus of visiting Israel is ease of communication - most everybody here speaks at least some degree of English.
toycat is my comfort youtuber
I’m in Canada and the link took me to maps on the American website and I didn’t see anything about it being affiliated with you. Also I think you should go to Israel
Northern cyprus is spicy too. Think about that one.
Or Kosovo.
Having checked, the link does not correctly redirect to Amazon Australia for me, just links to the American page with Australia delivery information
Thank you, will see if I can do anything about that
@@ibx2cat Same thing for Canada, American page, Canadian delivery information.
I'm going to rest in topor, wake me in 2100
Didn't Portugal also get denied?
I wouldn't go to "Israel" same as I wouldn't work in South Africa back in the day, during apartheid, my uncle did and got chucked out (fraternising/unwelcome alien)... I don't know why Morocco rejected "help". Plenty of examples of ex-colonial powers/charities/ngos and China raping countries/taking advantage and yes I include UN in this.
I think that going to Greenland would be *the* controversial decision, because... well, "why would you even"?
China took the "Good PR" to a whole new lvl 😂
after your 50th visit an oceanic island like fiji
Living in The Netherlands, the link works indeed
Now i get the negative coverage of the earthquake from european countries
id say that going to kosovo would be MUCH more controversial
Don't know about other countries, but there's no mention of Morocco rejecting Polish aid either in english or polish media.
I saw on X one of the rescue teams from Poland reported they work in Morocco.
please crop your webcam on the left :)
WHAT DID YOU JUST CALL ME AT THE END THERE???
Seeing Greece give help to Turkey, made me realise just how horrible of a person I am.
the ending got me 😳💀
I feel like most people agree Isreal is a country. Some governments don't recognize them for political reasons, but they still onow isreal is really a country. The question is whether or not ppaestine is, and you probably can't get to palestine without going through isreal first. If you could though, that would be the best, because then have you gone to 0, 1, or 2 countries?
I still don't know what your first channel is.
Go to Israel but dont tell the checkpoint guy you are there to visit palestine. They will see you visited Indonesia and morroco and probably ask about it,They will give you a paper ticket instead of a stamp so you can visit muslim countries without a problem after you leave.
india used to be that big the UK separated those regions and made new countries based on race and religion to make it impossible for those people to live in peace , they did that everywhere not just in india , while canada and australia were colonies not a part of an ancient nation
Your Amazon link does not work for France (yes you surprisingly have French viewers like myself)
I’m with Morocco on this one. Not everyone should and will be allowed to help
It may depend on the situation. On the other hand Japan got flak for initially refusing international help when JA123 crashed & when an earthquake struck its Noto peninsula
I am extremely so shocked to hear this from Morocco but the government need to change their mindset for an aid during a natural disaster where when the respective countries wanted to help, please allow them to do so!!!🙏🏻
Religion holds people back
@@ArtieArchives What is that to do with the religion, good friend?
Morocco is more than capable of handling this disaster on it's own, it's not a dysfunctional state.
Does the USA accept aid fron china when hurricanes hit? I don't think so, the political cost would be too steep.
why would we accept aid, from the same country that brutally colonised us and never repaid for what they've done, and still doing neocolonialisation, ever since we slowly removed french from our education, french government became saltier and saltier.
@@someguy4512Poland colonized you?
Bharat is an interesting name, how would other languages pronounce it and what do you call its people?
It's pronounced "tea shock" and means chieftain fyi
You should go to the Luhansk people’s republic. That would definitely add up the spice… and potentially get you demonetised, but it would be a big one, so yeah…
Going to a war zone held by a hostile government probably isn't the greatest idea ever
I from Portugal and the link works for me
their loss
the link directed to the US website but not to the French one (I’m in France)
Didnt work the link
You should go to northern cyprus as your 50th controversial country
In Belgium, link worked
The amazon link redirects correctly, i am living in Germany.
13:48 Go to Romania (Transylvania) mate
Yes the link redirects
Czech help was also refused.
Morocco is doing the right thing, if you don't need money, from corrupt European Nations, trying to fish favors, then you just refuse it.
if you wanna be controvercial go to transnistria ore nordern cyprus
Toycat i acc beg u get rid of that annoying green screen line in the middle 😂 otherwise great video. I reckon u should go to Israel as I've seen loads of video in kosvo, but not many of Israel apart from documentaries about Israel Cheers.
tea-shock!!
He's still salty about losing to france in 2022
Imagine having such a bias that you reject help from countries actually trying to help you
or they try to get leverage or favor, maybe some votes on UN or support to set blind Eye. Example. Is France is at mali aquiring Uranium there and maybe leverage is Marroco acceptance of France actions there. There is many reasons in international arena.
@@asjaosaline5987Name one thing Poland would want out of Morrocco.
Go ahead.
@@jacplac97
Everyone is ignoring Poland until the Winged Hussars arrive
and a lot of those wonderful people snuck their way in France/EU :) wonderful
I am from Israel and the link indeed work.
If they do not accept help from other countries and then as us, it should be a resounding NO
the link directed me. does that mean ot worked? in singapore btw
You should go to Northern Cyprus. That's the spiciest one. You would offend every EU country 😂
You shall visit DR Congo next
