Thank you so much for your teaching. You are one of the BEST teachers I’ve ever enjoyed learning from. I love the way you teach and explain your process of painting.❤ thank you, again. And, I love your artwork.
Love this painting! You are such a good teacher Charles - thank you for sharing your expertise, you make me believe even I could give it a go 😊 Sheena x
Thank you both for taking the time and for explaining your process… Always an inspiration and showing how to build a perspective painting with a tiny sketch… epic indeed!! love love it! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
You give much joy to housebound geriatrics, especially your talent of walking us through your “Talent” thank you for your contribution. Best wishes..John.
Hi Charles and Gail.... I have just watched your tutorial on painting trees.....I am in total awe of your talent. I am very new to acrylic painting.... Love the way that you use water with the paint, I nearly cried tho when you painted over the too of your distant trees, but can totally see the result at the finish... I have so much to learn. Thank you for your time, skill and yiur willingness to share.
Hi Charles and Gail...just watched your tutorial of a bridge...during the painting you commented on people making whining comments. The trolls are everywhere...if I was you I wouldn't give them the 2 minutes of fame they crave. Love your videos. I am a beginner at 74 yrs old. I bought your watercolor pocket book. Thank you again for sharing your talents. Give those puppies a kiss on the nose from Canada
Another very nice painting. Also, a new technical term, and ‘digital art’. But the digital art was so effective in this foliage! Going to try it next woodland scene. Thank you for creating and posting for us.
I usually do watercolor but have tried once or twice with acrylic painting. I saw this and decided to try painting it. I love how it came out despite the fact I didn’t have the colors you used! I am now really motivated to do more in acrylics. Thank you! And I love how you take your time with the tutorials!
Really enjoyed watching (and learning) as you painted this. Just outstanding how you built layer upon layer to develop the depth of the painting. At the end it felt like I could walk down the path! Thank you so much for these videos! I sit out back with a cigar and a rum and watch your videos and it’s a great way to spend an hour in the evening!
Amazing . I watch all your videos on here regularly as I have come back to try to learn how to paint landscapes {and seascapes} in acrylics, on canvas and on The Langton Rough watercolour paper. I am learning a lot from you Charles, many thanks.
Thank you Charles for your inspiring creativity.I have just started painting with acrylics and watching this was mindblowing. Loved it cant wait to try it.
Bought your "painting acrylic" beginner book yesterday, ordering the colours tonight. So glad I found videos aswell to complement my learning. Excellent book aswell as videos!
Just when I thought the painting was awesome, you added the shadows. Then suddenly the painting was cool as shit ! Thanks, I enjoyed that. The Sir Charles Evans' patented colors once again ! 😃
I've learnt a lot tonight watching you paint, when I paint I am afraid I put too much fine detail in it and never a achieve the look that you have just demonstrated. Many thanks for a lovely informative tutorial. Thelma Marsh
So much depth with the shadows on the trees. It's a joy to watch you paint -- and you are inspiring me to get back at it, although I've never painted with water-based paint vertically. (I've done my share of "digital art", though. :- )
Outstanding as ALWAYS 👏🏻🙏🏼 Charles I would love to see some of the art behind you that look like Ireland. I would love you to do a series of Irish ☘️ works thanks! Also could you make a print of you finger the one with most talented one🤣😂🤣🎨
Hi, all you would-be artists (!) Here's a whoping tip for all those who are still struggling to keep their acrylic paint soft. If you've got the smaller Stay-Wet from Daler Rowney, just add a sheet of blotting paper underneath. The dimension is A4 and you can still get blotting paper in A4. This extra sheet doubles the damp and doubles drying tim. Now, why didn't I think of that before ?
Hi Charles. Thanks for a very interesting painting.. Beautifully done and brilliant tutorial. I'm interested in the tray that keeps acrylics useable for weeks. Do the wet pads begin to smell bad after a while?
Love this Charles, can’t wait to see your demos at patching, do you have a recommended brand of acrylic paint that would work for a beginner. Cheers Ron
Hi Charles love your tutorials , I noticed you are using what seems to be a board , tell me what it is ? . I have some of you books I use often . I have been painting with some friends.
Had a go and its worked fairly well - thank you for the instruction!! I use a smaller paper size to that in your demo and wondered whether using a smaller size flat brush instead of the 3/4 might help as I struggled with the split brush/tree foliage bit? Half the paper size, maybe half the brush size? Would you recommend anything or just persevere with it? Thank you .
Hi Charles. Yet again another super tutorial! Can this be done on paper; will the techniques demonstrated work in the same way or will the paper not remain ‘wet’ enough? TIA.
Great tutorial Charles and a wonderful painting. Just curious about your stay wet palette. With mine I tend to get the paints running eventually and maybe too wet. I use the thin sponge that comes with the palette underneath the palette paper. I've also seen people use damp paper towels underneath. Any tips on how you keep your paint from doing that? All best!
Thank you so much for your teaching. You are one of the BEST teachers I’ve ever enjoyed learning from. I love the way you teach and explain your process of painting.❤ thank you, again. And, I love your artwork.

Hi Charles love your tutorials , I noticed you are using what seems to be a board , tell me what it is ? . I have some of you books I use often . I have been painting with some friends.
Fantastic painting techniques. I love it. Excellent tutorial.
Have you got any website to buy these 4 brushes.
Yes charlesevansart.com
Charles, what day are you demonstrating at Patchings in July? I would really like to watch you paint. This was a lovely painting BTW!
I’m there for all of the days. You can’t miss me really.

I think you’re putting too much water in your sponge. It’s only supposed to be damp.
@@charlesevans7706 Yes, simple solution! I'll cut back on the water. Thanks and keep up the great work!
