@@stefanswiss3760 It should have been done by said teams. But thanks to the sheer popularity of PSO (as a whole, People Like PSU as well.) IF they ever make a PSV (Which I hope they don't.) The problem with PSO (a very good game in itself) is that your character being a random guy not more important than the other thousands of player, you won't get the same effect as in a solo turn based (or not) RPG. Also I didn't play but saw what they did to Alys introducing her in PSO2 ep5 with her costume that leaves little to imagination and a basic storyline. I am not very found of it.

@@Retronomicon funny you mention the shining games as i just come off playing shining in the darkness lol. The android ps game is too much like most android games, if they wanted to spice up that game, they could of added ps1,2,3 or 4 charatet, or maybe the other ps games. Id love to see a phantasy star 5 or phantasy star gen 3 and 4. Who knows, these things never die, look at things that ended in the 80s and making a come back. And baldurs gate 3. So maybe they make a phantasy staf 5.
Oh, and i didnt know i was talking to the youtuber who did this video, i should of shown more repect. My bad.
@@mccoy4369 You didn't disrespect. I agree with you, I also have an evolution vid of the Shining Series, that series went the same way as Phantasy Star did. Diverging greatly from its roots.
@@Retronomicon yeah but i feel i wadnt polight enough, as a youtuber myself, i think i should treat desent youtubers with full respect. Oh nice, ill check it out. Im also doing a playthrough of a phantasy star romhack called phantasy star hordes of nei, the 1st on youtube to have a full playthrough haha. But its on hold for now.
Еще одна деградация серии,
*Sighs* what a Shame....
It is unfortunate where Phantasy Star went, but I am looking forward to the New MMO coming out. I still could use a Phantasy Star 4 remake or a part 5 though.
@@Retronomicon PT 5 is never going to happen but a remake of PS4 and the others isn't a bad idea....As long as it's faithful to the original source material it's cool.
Edit: actually scratch that, miss Kodama has a script ready for Phantasy Star V and at this point I would have something rather than nothing.
I would have loved a part 5.
I wish sega let a small team develop a sequel on the side but it should have been done by retro passionate teams.
I wouldn't be too pleased with a sequel full of waifu, photon laser tech and Shonen stuff.
I liked the original serie for its balance between mythical magic and science fiction like star wars.
Just a little mistake in the video, the first phantasy star was on Master system ;)
@@stefanswiss3760 It should have been done by said teams. But thanks to the sheer popularity of PSO (as a whole, People Like PSU as well.) IF they ever make a PSV (Which I hope they don't.) They'll go exactly for the Waifus, Photons and Shonen stuff because that's exactly what is driving the JP market, boosting the interest in Japanese media, And helping PSO's popularity. I mean look at Idola. All style without substance. (No matter what people say.) And full of Waifus. But people like it, because of that, not because it's a Phantasy Star game.
Not that it feels like much of a Phantasy Star game to begin with In my opinion, (It's more or less just another pedestal for PSO2 rather than a Anniversary game.) But the core gameplay is pretty good.
@@tonyknighton4019 agreed,
Didn't play Idola but it was pretty obvious from the screens that it was this kind of game.
I am sure they are quite competent with their game mechanics but wished for something else.
Although on a side note, I am confident in the idea that had they invested in a compelling adult story (distancing themselves from the obvious click bait girl characters and Isekai/ run of the mill scenarios), they could have hooked a fan base around new interesting characters that could be then exploited in cross overs and merchandise (like personna characters or FF whose skin or character you'll find in many many games).
The problem with PSO (a very good game in itself) is that your character being a random guy not more important than the other thousands of player, you won't get the same effect as in a solo turn based (or not) RPG.
Also I didn't play but saw what they did to Alys introducing her in PSO2 ep5 with her costume that leaves little to imagination and a basic storyline.
I am not very found of it.
