Entertaining video, and the mirrors suit your car so well.
In hindsight, it's rather narcissistic of me to put my name on those mirror adapters.

No way man, the embossed BEAVIS looks super-cool! Put it on the 15deg adapter as well 👍

Cool video! I’ve been wanting to do almost the same thing, except mount them to the fenders. Hydro dipping would be an option too, but I don’t know if it would have been easier or better than wrapping.

Fender mount would look great but the mirrors may be a bit too small to function properly. Hydrodipping is a good idea too!

just got finished installing these, they look COMICALLY small in person lol, even on the Miata. I’m sure I’ll get used to them soon enough.

Lol, agreed they look tiny but you get used to them. Hope you enjoy the mod!

@@mostlyuselessgarage the look is growing on me.
FYI for anyone reading I didn’t cut the included hardware to be flush, I just flipped it. I used some washers I had on the bottom where I put the countersunk side, and then used the included washers and nuts on the top of the mirror. The included washers are a bit wider than the countersunk holes so you don’t see them, and I don’t think it looks too bad. Just an option if you don’t feel like getting new screws or using a cutting tool.
I also tightened the set screws pretty tight. If I left them a bit loose, after adjusting them a few times it got too loose to stay in place. So set it way tighter than necessary at first and as you fiddle with it to get it into position it’ll loosen slightly but still be firm.
Took a little under two weeks to get the mirrors from demon tweeks to east coast USA.
These are a good option if you need new mirrors and don’t want to spend over $200 on OE style mirrors. This was $100 for the mirrors and then the cost to print the adapters is either 0 to $30 or so.

So which degree did you end up using? 15 or 25? I actually have a white NA as well looking to do this mod. I haven't removed the mirrors yet, but for the grinding part did you grind down the 3d printed mounts or did you do the black metal piece on the door?

For the SPA Design Formula mirrors from Demon Tweeks (link in description) there is no degree selection, only flat or convex. I chose convex. For bolting up the mirror to the 3D printed adapter bracket you can either buy shorter bolts that don't poke out the back (preferred) or drill holes in the door where the bolts contact (I did this). Don't grind the bracket or the bolts as it will melt the plastic.

I eventually realized you mentioned you had used the 25 degree ones and that’s what I used. Fit great on my 92 NA.
The adapters are smaller in area than the existing mirror mounts, so if your car is old you might have a black ring or discoloration visible once you install the mounts. Mine is an old beater soon to be track toy so I don’t mind
