In the early 2000s when TH-cam wasn't around to discover music there used to be a TV show where I live that was on every Friday night between 11 and midnight that would play metal - they picked a different theme each week so sometimes it was mostly death metal, thrash, power metal etc. I used to stay up and watch it because it was a good way to find new bands. One week they were mostly doing more traditional heavy metal so there was Iron Maiden and Judas Priest and Ozzy Osbourne and so forth that I was already very familiar with - then this song suddenly came on, and that was my introduction to Mercyful Fate. I still remember at the end feeling like I was in sensory overload - been a big fan ever since!

Located at Stevns Klint (Cliff) near the city of Store Heddinge. A part of Denmark that dates back to the Ice Age. And the area where my father grew up. RIP
