Do you have this rod? I'm in the market for a mid strolling/fitness rod that is sensitive. I'm waiting for the new shimano poison adrena. But the reviews on this one pretty good.
@@garydennis5178 I have the GLX 841S SJR for ned/neko, and the GLX 891S JWR for mid stroll/drop shot. I've always prefered the Loomis over the Shimano, do have 7'0 glass Expride B for squarebills and 7'2 glass for jackhammers/heavy cranks
Absoltely would make a great shakey head rod, as long as we are talking about the more finesse side of the technique. It wouldn't make a PERFECT shakey head rod, in our opinion, but it would get the job done.
How would the NRX+ 852 S do for neko? Figured it’s an amazing shakey head rod so might be a good neko rod too. Also wondering about the P5 Addermine? Thanks!
I use the nrx852s for neko. I think it’s great, but it’s not good for lighter baits. So for example, I normally neko rig a 5 inch senko with a 3/32 oz weight and it’s great. If I switch to an xzone deception worm with the same weight, the rod doesn’t cast very good at all. Hopefully that helps ya.
Would agree with Justin's assessment. It works well on the heavier side/deeper water.......When you get into the more finesse presentations, a lighter rod is needed.
The Jig & Worm rods have a faster tip. The Spin Jig series have a more traditional taper. They are typically a "Fast" action instead of an "Extra-Fast" action.
Absolutely love the GLX 841S SJR for ned and neko!
pretty incredible action and taper on that rod

With Loomis spinning rods, what's the difference between the Jig & Worm and Spin Jig series?
Jig & worm are a bit stiffer from my experience
