George Martin didn't immediately like The Beatles. He thought their music was crap. He did recognize they had good personalities which he thought alone would sell records.

I got a kick out of hearing about the out of control fans
that ripped 2 doors off The
Beatles’ Getaway Car after
a show in London. 1 or 2 fans
from that same group of fans
even stole the car doors that
came off the car! Really made
me cracked up and laughed
hard til tears came out of my
eyes. Extreme Beatles Mania!
Brian really enjoyed the Fans’ wild reactions to The Beatles
before & after their concerts.
He thought it’s was good for The Beatles’ business at that time in England 1962-1963.

I am glad you got a kick out of it. They must have been fans out of control to rip the door off wow ha.
It was funny that when the chauffeur went to look for the door it was stolen already by Beatle fans.

Great chapter! It's funny though, how people forget that the Beatles' 'overnite sensation' was actually preceded by thousands of hours of playing seedy clubs in Hamburg for 8-10 hours a night, propped up by fistfuls of amphetamines and barrels of beer. But I guess that part of the story didn't really become common knowledge until much later...
