Hello everyone and welcome back to The Beatles Forever. Today we are going back on our journey with Peter Brown, and we find out that fame isn't all it's cracked up to be.
Enjoyed your video. Just wanted to give you an update. Peter Brown and Steven Gaines released another book called All You Need is Love on April 9. It consists of the remaining interviews that were not included in the original book. I have just started reading it so not sure how good it will be. John Lennon was not a part of this as he was murdered before their interviews began, but the remaining Beatles ,wives family and friends are included. All interviews have never been published.
Paternity claims happened all the time to them. The way it was handled was to pay them off as little as possible and shut them up. No way to know if they were true or not however, at the time The Beatles were performing all over the world and stood to loose a LOT of money if shows had to be cancelled because they had to appear in court to contest these claims. So better to give the women a few pounds and get a promise from them to keep quiet. It happened to a lot of bands back in those days and I'm sure it happens today still.
Easily provable one way or the other in the 21st century. A 1965 born person was 35 at y2k. No doubt every Beatle and/or widow found out and settled any genuine claims around then, no information for the public means NDAs. A couple years ago Roger Daltrey gave an interview about three adult daughters finding him- he welcomed them, cares for them and considers himself lucky to have more family to share love with.
I don't know why, but I could listen to your voice telling these stories for hours. It's most relaxing and engaging. Thank you for these most pleasant diversions and entertainments! I've already subscribed to your channel, or I'd subscribe again! ;) To the matters at hand, I'm saddened to hear of the toll that was taken on everyone, but especially Brian, and then maybe next John. They were both complicated in their way, and each dealt with fame and fortune uniquely. It's particularly sad that Brian had to deal with so much prejudice for his religion and sexual orientation. He should have moved to LA or New York right away, it might have gone easier for him... England was too conservative and judgemental at that time.
The undeniable truth is that extreme fame can make prisoners of the exalted. In A Hard Day's Night, the grandfather says, " So far, I've been on a train, in a room, in a car, in a room, in room and a room and a room. " That's how the group lived for three years until they stopped touring.
Thanks so much for this info
You are so welcome!

John loved Cynthia as he said so
