Durhamite77 Having a 30 year collection of Glock pistols, mags, and accessories makes one very reluctant to set that aside for a different platform regardless of how good it may be. The older you get, the more set in your ways you become. It’s happening to me more and more with every passing day.
I think the M&P 2.0 has been the best new line to come along in a long time. If I was just starting out I’d buy them and never look back. I’m so thankful that an American company is offering such a great pistol at such a great price point. Merica! I love it.

I use the m&p 2.0 compact for my duty gun as an armed guard. I've taken it many times to the range and I love it. I choose m&p 2.0s over glocks any time

Handled one of these at a gun show yesterday. Actually it was the 3.6” barrel version but same grip. Best ergonomics over ever felt in a handgun. Definitely considering this one.
I have this one and I traded in my Walther CCP which is known for its ergonomics for this one. Greater ergonomics IMO

I always thought the H&K Vp9 was the gun that had the best ergonomics, until I shot the M&P 2.0. My 3.6 with the new grip texturing is hands down the best pistol for me! Great video, thanks for sharing.
I've loved my SW MP9c M2.0 it's a great shooter, very accurate. easy enough to conceal and Carrie's a lot more rounds than my old shield did, and I never liked how my shield shot. I just never was consistant with it but the 15 round compact I love! I bought 6 more of the mag extensions and 6 17 round mags for the range and I'm set. Not one fte or any malfunctions ever with it over this past year.
With 1 15round mag and 1 in the chamber and a 17 round back up and I'm carrying about the same amount of ammo as I did with my shield with 3 or 4 8 round mags. Perfect!
M&P are great I have an M&P 2.0 9mm it's an amazing gun to shoot! Love the videos and firearm information

M&P line have one of the best finishes on a modern hand gun. Looks good, cleanup easy, not to slippery and very durable 👍🏼. Glocks are similar but a little to slick.

Everyday proof you don’t need all that tactical stuff to shoot.
I have the 3.6 compact. In my opinion it is a Glock killer. Better grip texture, better grip ergonomics, stock steel sights, and I don't get a blister on my trigger finger like I do with a Glock.
Has a proper Palm swell in the grip instead of a weird hump that makes you aim high
The M&P 40 Compact (1.0) has been a favorite of mine for years. One big plus (two, actually) is the ability to add a 357 SIG barrel AND/OR the 9mm conversion barrel and you have 3 guns in one! Best to add the 9mm magazines as well for serious use, but the 40 S&W magazines are even marked with 357 SIG as well.
This man is the GOAT as far as TH-cam shooter videos go.

picked up the 40 compact brand new for 299 a couple weeks ago - Smith has surely kept the prices very competitive for the average folks like me

They can be converted to 9mm and 357 sig.

Ha! I love mine. It came with 2 sleeves to fit on the 17 round mags. I only have 882 rounds through it, but it has not malfunctioned once.

I just traded my Glock 19 gen 4 for one of these. I just couldn’t shot that Glock worth a damn. But that M&P 2.0 I can shot it so much better and actually hit my targets good.

I can say this I've been carrying and shooting glocks all my life since I was a kid so it's just the pistol I know like the back of my hand but m&p is kicking butt now I used to have a shield 9mm 2.0 best trigger I've ever felt
@@drewgregorys3227 I’m right there with you. After piling up glock mags and kinda building my setup around that for years its hard to get away from something that just always works. But the shield is a great little gun and ive been shooting the hell out of mine since i picked it up.
Of all the 9mm compact guns I have seen you review I think I like the M & P compact 2.0 best.

The M&P 2.0 compact and the Sig P365 are my main two carry guns. Both are excellent firearms that I would highly recommend.
I have the full size M&P9 2.0 with the 4.25 barrel and 17 round flush magazines. Excellent reliable gun. I’ve put 500 rounds through it at the range with zero malfunctions. Great gun and highly underrated , it holds its own against anything out there.
You shoot this gun really well! Possibly better than any other I've seen you shoot. And I've seen you shoot a lot!!!

Thanks for the M&P Chapter 2. The M&P line guns are very nice and work well as expected. My GF has the M&P Shield 380 EZ and loves it. It has the grip safety and the slide is like hot butter smooth and overall the gun is very reliable as most are if you properly maintain, clean and lube them as we all know. Thanks again.

Mine came with 3 interchangeable grips which was real nice making it comfortable, nice weapon it is a Good Shooter!
Hickok you influenced me years ago to try Talon grips. Have them on many of my pistols and I am a fan 👍🏼. Great product !
I use them too. I have them on three of my handguns. Just can't go back. It's like peanut butter and jelly. :-)
Robert Varner agreed. I really like the rubberized ones especially on smaller pistols like M&P Shield. I like that it does not add much to the width of the handle. Only complaint is sometimes at the bottom back the it comes a little undone.

I used my M&P 2.0 Compact for LEOSA 50 round qualification in June & shot in the high 90s. S&W came up w/a real winner here.
Had My 2.0 S&W Compact for a few months! Love the Pistol and with Crimson Trace Laser is so accurate!

I shoot the M&P 2.0 wayyy better than the Glock. It isn't even close. For me, the 2.0 is much more accurate and I like the 2.0 trigger much better than the Glock trigger.

Same here. People complain about the trigger hinge. Doesn't mind me one bit...I prefer it over the little tab in the Glock trigger.

Which glock trigger gen 5 or previous genes? Into the gen 5 is much Improved I love my 45,19,17 gen 5 trigger for some reason just bought a 2.0
Jay Mar I think Gen 5 is much different. The ones with the serrated trigger face I do not care for.

So ironic! I just got in from the range where I was shooting my M&P Glock 19! Love this gun, always loved the way the M&P's looked and felt, just hated the trigger. These 2.0's are great. I have run the gambit of all the wonder 9's and bought and sold so many Glocks because I liked everything about them except the grip. I shoot my M&P so good it's hard to miss with it.
Have owned an M&P Shield 9mm Compact (Gen 1) for about 5 years now and just love it, down to the most minutest detail! Although, I've installed "MagGuts" +1 springs to both original magazines and about to upgrade original trigger to an "Apex Tactical"!..🤷🏾♂️ I just love this M&P platform and have been, for the past year, considered acquiring the M&P Compact 2.0 or the Performance Center Compact to complement my first generation M&P Shield Compact 9mm.
I have the 2.0 9C. I love the thing. Bought it as an everyday carry. But it's probably but favorite semi auto handgun for range fun as well
Bought my MP2.0 Compact a couple years and LUV it!!. The aggressive grip feels awesome in the hands and love the curved trigger. It is part of my carry rotation, but not too many like it. Some of my buddies say the grip is too aggressive and they don't like the curved trigger. Works fine for me, no problem.
I admire your accuracy with one hand. Im trying and learning how to shoot one handed.
I can whole heartedly agree on Talon Grips, have them on all of my pistols. I have m&p compact in .45 and I love it. Shoots great and handles wonderfully. Even better with an apex spring kit with action enhancement trigger.
Seen with this one both of your M&P 2.0 Compacts and do agree with both of the negatives of this firearm. I had to switch to the Shield as a Conceal Carry. It wasn´t as much the heaviness, specially with 17 rds, it was more the combination of the heavy with horrible lower back pain. The trigger I have gotten used to it, specially after shooting the Shield. Love your videos.
The M&P9 pistol is like the middle brother btwn older brother Glock and younger brother, VP9, that doesn’t get the attention of the two but is often more steadfast and reliable. Quietly the best gun there is.

Just got the compact, Great for carry and a great range gun. Carry my shield mostly but it gets pretty loose at 25 yards. With the compact it stays on target for the whole mag.

I have good size hands but shorter fingers so the shorter trigger reach and break is one of the best things about the M&P for me- also on and FMK compared to Glocks. Justin Opinion has a trigger index measurement that is very important to me. Keep up the great videos!
I also agree the gun shoots low if you lollipop the target or even center cover. I had to bring up the sights to the top edge of my intended mark and it started grouping nicely.
I bought this M&P 2.0 9mm. Stock on all guns and ammo are down now.
Just bought mine from Bud's online yesterday. Can't wait for it to get here!
I have the 3.6 barrel version and use it for carry.It does have little bit of weigh but you will get use to it.Want crazy about the trigger,so I put in an Apex front forward trigger kit and feels like a custom trigger job.I also switched sites for the Truglo sites and now it's an even better pistol to shoot.
I bought the first one that came in at my dealer a while back. I've put probably a thousand rounds through it. No issues whatsoever. I am a lefty. I am also somewhat ambidextrous. I feel comfortable shooting this with either hand. It's not going to be a carry gun for me- it's just a tad too big. I just bought a Bersa BP9CC, a thinner, lighter gun, to carry. The Smith & Wesson- you really do get what you pay for- it really is a well made gun, and a great shooter.
Your so right Hickok45 I have been looking for close to 2 months now and each time I think I found the pistol I am going to buy I start reading issues with the gun. Then I am back to ground zero looking again.
Gun issues on the internet will never end. Lots of crap gets blown way out of proportion. Just do a detailed inspection of the one you want and pull the trigger. You can drive yourself batty otherwise.

This in .40 is my edc. And I'm 6 foot 2 I like the large grip I feel it fills my hand up nicely and leaves less wiggle room when pulling the trigger

I like Glocks but I love my M&Ps, I have several and have never had a malfunction with any of them. Great video.

I have always been a Glock fanboy and just recently picked up an M&P 2.0 Compact with NS and I must admit I like everything about it better than my Gen 5 Glock 19. I sold my Glock...

I switched out from my Glock 23 for my carry to the Smith and Wesson 2.0. It's a great shooter, very accurate the textured grip was fine for shooting but IWB carry irritated my skin after a longer period of carrying. I really liked the gun and didn't want to switch so a quick trip to Wally World and a purchases of a bike tube fixed that. I cut a 6" section out, worked it onto the grip and trimmed it to fit. It works great and doesn't significantly change the grip diameter.
