I reeeally hate that Black Hole is a MA in this game, another reclaims: mage MA are reused sooo many times in this and the last, but not least, why Klarth has a blank MA? He should had extensions, he has so many summons....

Well, Kite I'm sure it's gotten in NamcoBanda Isle since I really wanted to use him myself (though I was a little dishearted at his arte selection, honestly), I believe Asuka was the same. In fact, they were some of the first cameo costumes I got. To go to NamcoBanda Isle you need to reach the last part of the game (when you can go to the crystal caverns in the Narikirishi/Present era) and I believe there was an old man there that handed in costumes dpeneding how many pacts you made.
@Kevassa02 was wondering that myself. Good to know ahead of time. Oh well they still get the use of Overbrave usefulness. Guess that explains why alot of ppl didn't use certain classes.
@boredtodeath55 That´s not a Mithos cameo, actually. In the PSX version of Tales of Phantasia he had a third final boss form which was an angelic Dhaos. Symphonia was made after, and probably as a reference they did the whole Angel thing based off on that angelic Dhaos.
Anyway u can obtain Dios & Meltia's costume for Dio & Mel in EX Dungeon. EX dungeon can only be unlocked after your 1st playthrough. Meaning you have to beat the game first and then start a New Game+. In your 2nd Playthrough, keep playing until you get to the point where you face Dios & Meltia in Final Dungeon. Defeat them and then get out of the dungeon. Enter Valhalla town, an event will occur, go outside the town. You can access the dungeon now (the dungeon is on the southeast of the map).
That's most of the hi ougis, but your missing one more. Your missing the Black Kulua from the secret dungeon. Black Kulua is the final boss for the secret dungeon once you collect a certain amount of a certain item in that dungeon. Black Kulua is also captureable by chance if Dio is in his monster tamer costume when facing Black Kulua. Black Kulua is beast.
It's been a long time, mind you, but I believe you got the Idolm@ster costume in a well in past Valhalla, with Cress on your party, while the others are gotten in NamcoBanda Isle which were related to the number of summons you had. Could be wrong, however.
@sd28821 Lazy? Did you see how many hi ougis are there already? It´s enough there are 4 costume branches with 2 different hi ougis and 3 secret hi ougis for Mel, plus a dual hi ougi.
now learn japanese to enjoy it, also this game has a revision of tales of phantasia, which is by a long shot the best port of the game, with a vastly improved battle system (no more pause spell)

People always tend to forget this is a PSP game, they review everything as it was a PS3 title, rofl. The biggest .iso i've seen though is 1.8 gb so yeah, maybe they could've added some more things, but it turned out to be a pretty damn good remake , and don't forget they also included tales of phantasia cross edition. If this sells enough, they will probably release more narikiri dungeons.
Oh, I have no idea about anything related to .hack to be honest, I just think the guy looks badass and wanna try him out haha. If anything, the .hack dude I really wanna try out in a tales game is this Haseo was it? He looks totally kickass.
@Kevassa02 since thats not my only complaint it ain't ridiculous lazyness aside i am enjoying the game but when obvious thing like 4 plus classes missing hi ougi i forgot the priest the other version of the preist summoner and beast master obvious they where being lazy hell by not giving these costumes one as it gives the ones they do clear advantages hell my biggest beff is the tiny arte selection fact is i can enjoy a game and still point out things its missing and should have
My problem with Kite artes is that he is based on his Link appearance and not his original appearance... Which means he has about 4-5 artes and no Stacatto :( Still, as small as his moveset is it's very very practical and you should be able to do combos very easily.
that's Dios but not Dio. it's adult version of Dio from the past (or future? whatever..), he is a boss, not a costume. but if u are asking what costume Dio was wearing in that battle, it's Sword class 3rd rank costume "Ougon Kenshi 黄金剣士 (Golden Swordsman)"
@sd28821 The game is 1.08 gigs big. RM series use simplified dungeons, have little to no voiced skits and the events are all skit based with barely any movement. They had to save as much space as possible, there too. It´s not fair to compare a full fledged RPG to a quest based one :X I can understand if you just said that the game had lack of hi ougis, but to say the game is lazy due to missing 3 hi ougis representing those branches is ridiculous
@sd28821 I disagree, completely, the cameo costumes were made for comic relief and the orochi and high witch costumes are very practical due to them being actually stronger than the regular costumes. Not gimping Klarth? Klarth is actually really useful, mind you, though his moveset is sidequest based. If you had hi ougis for all classes the space for the UMD would require low quality hi ougi animations, which you would oh so complain about. Stop complaining and enjoy, -seriously-
Wait, is that after the AD ???? era? Because I can enter those crystal caverns but only in the AD ???? era :/ If so then I still have some game to beat.
@Kevassa02 the umd only uses up around 700mb of space trust me they had more than enough room . hell lock at the radient series which has more characters move sets locations and hi ougi also the high witch and orochi are pointless as they could have just given the stats to the costume tres they belong to instead of wasting space on yet another palette swap . my point with klarth being that he spends half the damn game with only how is that not gimped efreet
@sd28821 Well, we can´t come to an agreement. I find those ideas quite shallow and not appropiate for such a great game, it just saddens me people have to nitpick at every single small thing in every tales.
All cast from Asbel to the Pop-Singer is costume related and is only obtained through japanese things, I got Asbel with a password, but the others(want kite and asuka...) is obtained by other means...
@Kevassa02 the thing is people always come in with expectations i saw this as tales of destiny remake 2.0 for a different series what i fell i got was 1.5 either was i agree lets drop the argument as its a waste of time and doesn't stop me from enjoying the game
@darkzero16 They added one character from some Namco franchises, the selection resoning is beyond my knowledge though. How Asbel got in, and Cless/Lloyd (who are more of Tales symbols) didn´t is probably a hint that ToGf was gonna be announced
This is late but while I do like this game it annoys me that some costumes are female or male only like I wanted where it was fair on narikiri dungeon 2 and 3 where each of them got what the other did and while its a different costume ex musician and dancer they serve the same purpose sort of but anyway then there's this game where the knight class goes to the male and the females sword class is not only late but its different than the males sword class..... Then I think the female gets the brawler class instead

I searched everything I could, but I still didn't understand how to get Asbel's special trick, read the guide that said about it, but nothing worked ...
"NOTE: Around 6-8 pacts, talk to the old man in the top left corner of Namcot island and he'll give you the Kite Costume. Talk to him AGAIN when you have around 9-10 pacts to get a cutscene. After that go to Vahalla Town (ヴァム“ãƒãƒ © ç” º) in Dio and Mel's time and talk to a guy in the top right corner of the village to get another scene. If you haven't already, beat Arena on Expert using Asbel's costume.If you have, you can just talk to the guy again and he will give you the Memory of G skill book.Put on your Asbel costume and use the book on Dio to get Asbel's Mystic Arte, Juuha Goushouzan . "
