Great thought and detail! As a guy who has been the head audio person in one church and moving that direction in the church I'm now active in, this info is key for training new people - and when it's not there, it really makes that learning of a new system more daunting.

Awesome as always! Here are a few additions that can really help. 1) Label each input on stage. 2) Create a standard scene so everyone starts at the same place - making sure only authorized users can edit. 3) Have volunteers work with you to create/maintain the documents - really helps train the team when they actually understand signal flow

Just when I’m getting overwhelmed with new volunteers and the team forgetting setups.

I feel that if I have like 3 or more people saying that the volume is too high then the overall level should come down

Perhaps! But it's still a leadership call at the end of the day.

Any advice if we have a sound person that won't let anyone else do it? We've have a few people come forward including myself. He was told to train people and document things but nothing has happened.

That's a conversation for your leadership team to have with him. If they ask him to do something and he doesn't do it, they have to have a follow-up conversation about his stewardship.
