I was getting super frustrated trying to drift the ETK drift car with like 600 HP. I found this video and it was super helpful and things were explained really well. I still suck but I'm seeing improvement
This video has been the most helpful instructions I have ever seen. I have spent years attempting to drift, across loads of games, and this finally made me able to. Thank you so much.
The main thing I had wrong was the tires, car was so snappy and uncontrollable. It's getting there, just gotta work out the finer details. Thanks for the help!
great video man. as i was using this video, i found that the race track car park on west coast was really good to practice as it has a drawn on track with a nice variety of corners but no barriers or rocks so if you mess up a corner you can carry on
as a person who has no wheel and been drifting on keyboard for the past 3 years of beam, this helped me learn that i need petals and a wheel to moderate my steering and gas
As if you couldn't figure out for the past three years that keyboard inputs are 1 and 0 with nothing in between.. Edit: mechanical keyboards are the exception but what control can you have with such a small range of motion
-camber on front wheels -lsd -rwd, not too much power but also not to little, should b ez to overpower the wheels but not too difficult to throttle controll stg 1-2 superchrgr -sport tires -drift steering
i learned to drift in beamng all by myself but still was struggling at long turns and sometimes spinning out on corners ur video helped, thx m8 also im a keyboard drift main lol, pain go brrrrrrrr
I same, I also Drift in keyboard (With the ETK I-Seires) but somehow I can Finally maintain the long and short curves.. Btw, u were at 3rd or More on the Long curves?
For me to stop my drift instead of counter steer i press throt when drifting i dont unless im going to slow hope this helps for people who cant do this vid
This video is awesome! That car make it easier I think, it goes like slow motion compared to the stock drift car (Barstow Drift). Now I can start practising this, finally! Thanks :)
Im having so much trouble drifting with 900 degrees on my wheel, I cant catch the slide fast enough, I feel like I dont get eny feedback from my wheel that soon, I change it to 540 i think or 720 and its much easier but snappier, not as smooth :/ i dont know if its ffb settings or just my wheel, gonna have to buy direct drive sometimes soon lol
I like to map my handbrake to my clutch pedal. If you just jab it quick you still get the effect of a clutch kick. And if you hold the clutch you get the actual handbrake. Some say it’s a bad habit to practice like that. However in a real car you have to press the clutch to pull the handbrake. So it works for me until I get a sim handbrake.
I just had a Fat EUREKA moment, I've been messing with settings for at least an hour, trying to figure out what's wrong with the FFB, it felt like it was fighting against me constantly, the opposite of counter-seer (Ironic:). When I remembered that by default, the FFB in BeamNG when not inverted, is inverted. Ticked the inverted box and I am now able to at least wrap my head around it LoL
you need to keep control of the throttle/gas and then clutch kick (on keyboard it's easier in my opinion though VERY snappy) and one thing. when you have enough practice try a touge map and try your best to not crash. (for touges i use tacomeat's car) edit: oh! i forgot. swing your car (if you want you can do a rapid swing to kansei dorifuto) when entering a corner/hairpin. (it's actually a scandinavian flick/pendulum used in rallying, this helps me on keyboard drift easier) though you have to be careful. or even better! do a gutter wheel lifting drift when you have max experience. it's not easy at all though good challenge (i did one in a *MIATA* and flipped over lol)
problem is im a controller player so im super good at drifting with light rally cars but the moment you give me a heavy v8 i begin profusely sweating as i try my best to not swing the ass of the car right around
thanks so much, i build a drift grand marshal with the info from your video, its really easy to drift but it snaps back easy so cant connect drifts but thats not hard to fix with your video, also thanks for the tip about using the brake as a handbrake!!! (edit: switched out the rear for standards and it works perfect now, i can already drift some corners after only 1 hours of drifting in this car!!)
IM DOING EVERYTHING CORRECRLY, I HAVE THE SAME CAR,SAME STATS, EVERYTHING IN ORDER, AND ITS NOT FUCKING WORKINGGGGG I HAVE BEEN PRACTICING THIS FOR 2 DAYS NOW
Damn how the fucking can i make a car in automationgame and then turn and tweak it in beamng so i dont have to keep going back and fourth between the two? Like how do i add items to the vehicle config.
Yesterday i got the hang of it, all of a sudden i could drift the whole map n shit, i was in int so bad i broke my wheel bruv… so now i have my steering wheel welded to my desk
Not at all. When I started playing the game, the first thing I did was drift. It's very similar to the real thing and in other games I could never drift properly.

This taught me how to properly modulate the throttle which was the 1 thing i was missing to figure out how to drift. Now i just gotta master it

My car keeps either straightening out spinning out help. It's like I'm just sliding in a straight line instead of turning
lower spring rate and/or sway bar stiffness in the rear suspension
@@RuhmannLeonhardt thanks I'll give it a try

I tried this setup and my rear end just keeps fucking swinging even with the suspension matched to his. This is so god damn frustrating.

how can I regulate throttle with a keyboard?
what mods are the ones that give u mph and clutch thing???

ive been drifting in beamNG for about 200 hours and i didnt know about this @2:57
