I tried the below values with the updated attribute noise node. It did not work for me the first time. I detached and reattached the temperature attribute noise node and it worked surprisingly. Attribute Names: Float density Range Values : Min/Max Operation : Multiply Min Value : 0 Max Value : 1 ☑️ Animate Noise ------------------------------------------------------------------ Attribute Names: Float temperature Range Values : Min/Max Operation : Multiply Min Value : -10 Max Value : 10 Element Size : 0.99 Offset : 4.4 ☑️ Animate Noise Pulse Duration : 0.4 This gave me similar results to what Rohan featured.
I'm having a problem, the smoke doesn't rise automatically for me at 5:00. It gets denser, but doesn't rise. Edit: 1 month later, I found out I misspelled temperature.
@@rohandalvi I have an ambient temperature of 300 and reference temperature of 3000 kelvin in the Pyro solver (Everything is the same as default). I have this issue in both the windows and linux version of the software.
Hello, hope you can help. I can't change the pulldown option on the pyrosource from Initialize to anything else. I select Smoke Source but it doesn't hold. Stuck on Initialize.
Maybe the node is broken. You can always create the values from scratch using a wrangle or an attribute create node. Because that's all it's doing. It creates density, pscale , temperature and burn attributes on points. So if the pyrosource node isn't working just use a scatter to scatter points and then create an attribute wrangle and create the attributes you need. To get the Pyro source node back you might have to reinstall Houdini. I can't think of any other way to repair it.

@@rohandalvi Thank you. Actually, I can see the different attributes when I select each one. Just the name remains the same. Weird.
Nice tutorial, thanks man ~
Thanks Rohan. Your tutorials are amazing and your knowledge is endless. What would be the best way to take this end result into UE4? Thanks!
There are nodes available in the lab tools that will let you export smoke sim to unreal. You should be able to find it in there.
This is great. I hope you will explain also Gas microsolvers, because there are a lot of about pyro but nobody explained microsolvers
I will cover some of the basic micro solvers. But even I don’t understand most of them. 😅
Can you plz tell me your pc configuration.. ?
The attribute noise doesn't make my smoke look more interesting. I am a beginner so likely i'm missing out on something. Please help.
I'll try the new node and see if there's any difference from the old node.
@@rohandalvi hey there, having the same issue, did you happen to notice a difference?
thank you very much means alot
Thanks, Rohan :)
Thank You !
thank you mate.
my attribute noise looks completly diferent from yours.. why is that?
They changed the attribute noise node in 18.5. You can see the video given below to see the changes.
