I was looking for slate for my 55 gal. But when I was the cost of them I didn't buy. But thanks to you I can afford to buy slate and cut them my self.😊
If you score the tile at least 1/4 of the way thru then you can put a small round object like a pencil directly under the scored line and then give the piece a quick sharp tap or thump and it will break on the line.
A dremel is totally the wrong tool for this job! The motor is just too small. A standard 100mm angle grinder is going to be much better - or a dedicated tile cutting tool.

I can only reason speak to this tile, I haven't used any other brands of tile

Intead of cutting it that way if you wanted it to look more natural could you just break the tile and use it that way as well?
