Coppola is a truly gifted filmmaker, pure in vision and delivery - unlike a lot of the filmmakers of his generation, he still has a personal vision of the world that he wants people to understand. He takes risks that others wont, even if sometimes he is not completely successful in the undertaking of making his films. I'll certainly be waiting in line to see this film.

This movie sailed far above my expectations, which were fairly high for Gallo and Coppola. A truly well told story

Nick Jasper Oh, that's right; he's going to be playing Han Solo. Well, maybe, he might be a star, but until Han Solo comes out, we won't really know.

Black and white..it fits perfectly with Buenos Aires background....I watched that movie last night and liked it a lot......the movie itself really reminds me of an Argentine one, Francis Ford Copolla acted like an Argentine director even being American...truly a genius indeed....I'm Brazilian and hope that Brazilian directors stop insisting on making favela movies only showing my country's violence, samba and poverty.

‎"Tetro stands as proof that Coppola, with an almost stationary camera and nothing more technical than light on film, can still achieve a more stunning visual experience than the 3D CGI of Avatar" (My favourite quote).
That is just the start. Before you even dare to reach into the character interplay this wonderful tragedy reveals. A crafted masterpiece that only a few could draw. I have forgotten all the merit of his past successes. This is his masterpiece. I scorn all who disagree.

I believe Gallo is an outstanding actor, but so underrated. If the world were a fair place, he would deserve more recognition from his interesting roles. Moreover, his face is so striking. I have always had a crush on him. What I really like about him is his mysterious aura.

And Tetro reminds me so much of my brother... they have the same type of personality.

Would also like to mention that while watching Tetro, I became aware of a certain grayness to the flesh tones...a lot of scenes had skin tones too flat and dark. The whole scenes would look good but just the faces seemed flattened by the level they projected at. This was not through the whole film. Two types of metering...one of the light hitting someone, and one of the light reflecting...what to do...anyway, loved it. Gallo has some great scenes at the end. Now get the film in focus, Kabuki!

Want to hear something amazing...get Niagara on DVD, with Monroe, then watch it's preview of Don't Bother To Knock on it, and just listen to the music. It will first be broken up by going back to audio..then come back, go away, then go nuts at the end of the preview. It's unbelievable Bernstein like material that's incredible. I ordered Don't Bother To Knock, and am praying that it is really music from the film. Vivid, wonderful stuff, in the zone of Eddie Sauter. A sonic attack!
