I taught fourth grade last year and we had lots of fun doing exactly what is said in this video, the whole school experience changes to another level and you see children's commitment and involvement increasing exponentially.
This is excellent presentation, simple, easy to understand and at a normal pace. I've really enjoyed and learnt it all. Thanks
Kia ora! Thank you so much for this insight into how Blooms Taxonomy can aid us all in the online learning experience. I am a programme leader from Aotearoa, New Zealand at Te Wānanga o Raukawa. I like the simplicity but also the depth of what has been presented in this video. This is super helpful in improving the paper that I facilitate in my post graduate diploma class. Ngā mihi!

@@higherelearning Thanks so much. These are excellent!
The problem is that many educational programs try to teach the higher steps without having educated the fundamental first.
... How can you remember something, if you don't understand it first???!!!! Also once you understand the information, how do you write/map that (within your own brain/mind) - in order to be able to recall it? And then there's lateral thinking, the ability to intuit and the creative application of original ideas...
@@higherelearning - Students have no idea what they are regurgitating... Therefore they won't be able to connect the dots and use the information logically and creatively.
I’ve now watched dozens of videos and read some articles on Blooms and I think this MISINTERPETED taxonomy is responsible for the dumbing down of education and training over the intervening decades. AS an auto-didact, I know that the hierarchy is not a progressive series of steps up to an apex of achievement. This whole concept needs to be carefully scrutinised and tested against the reality of how people form knowledge.
i think that cognitive learning takes only the step up to evaluation. is it ?
Can you present some videos for assessment and inclusive education also
thanks a lot I almost get out without expresing my gratitude, this is helpful form my tesis work, world needs more people like you of good will
