I adore this short film. It say so much without a single word being said. Plus it features the original four - such a treat! Philip Bulcock sure knows how to direct. This film is stylish and classy. A must see.
Not your typical Jersey Boys tune but I love it! Great to see where the lines quoted by Frankie (in the play) originate from! And the atmosphere in the film is amazing! Would love to see more!!
Well said Maureen and that is one of the reasons I directed the film to give more information to the fans of the stage show. That's what they should have done with the Jersey Boys feature - an opportunity missed.
I came across this the other day. The Four Seasons wrote a great lyric. It may be about fame & fortune & downsides to it. Though from what i saw in the video, that the family they're looking for, they have. The four of them. Only they know how it feels. A family wouldn't understand it. Even the girls can't compete. From what I've read over the years with groups like this, a family life can be extremely hard and because a group have a bond, members of families feel on the outside looking in. I'm not sure if this applies to the Four Seasons. But that is what I saw in the video. Its a really impressive video. Thank you for filming it.
Thanks for taking the time to write down your thoughts Anna and I'm glad the video provoked them. Yes it is about family and really all those things that no amount of fame and fortune can ever replace. Todays society particularly the young are pushed towards the idea that fame and fortune is what you need for a wonderful life. Not in my experience and many others who have tasted far more fame and fortune than I have.
@@philgb69 Thank you for taking the time to reply back to me Philip. With the internet and talent shows, they should be warned that it might not last or even start. And to get something to fall back on. I'm sure with yourself and others you know in the business, you knew with your career, fame was a bonus of all your hard work. Not instant success like the young ones think will happen. And that will make them happy. Hopefully at the moment the young ones realise that the important thing in life is family. And not TH-cam or internet fame. And to stay grounded like yourself. Thank you for your film, tv and theatre work. I'm sure many will learn from you.
@@philgb69 You’re welcome Philip. I hear Jersey Boys is going back in to the West End. I hope you and the other guys have a great time getting together again on stage. Give them all all my best. x
@@philgb69 Hi Philip. Hope you and your family are all keeping well. Funny this came up in my recommendations. I had to watch again, the bellboy, got me thinking, “Brucie” anyway connected to Bruce Forsyth? I know he’s sang some of the songs. Did they ever meet? It’s just they had a similar style. Or have I read to much into it? Stay well. x
They did !!!!!!!!! Its called WORKING MY WAY BACK TO YOU!!!! Phillips records 1966!!!! Nick Massi had already left the 4 seasons!!!!!! Bob Gaudio wrote it Bob Crewe produced it!!!!! The 4 Seasons!!!!!
@@eugeneschulte4950 thanks for the information. I went to see the Jersey Boys last year and looked up the original West End cast on youtube and found this.
Beautifully done film. Great talent, great voices. Such a sad song...to obtain what you think you want, but it's really not all. And Glenn in underwear. What could be better?

I love in the midst of the debauchery, Stephen Ashfield looks like a Geography teacher : )
He's busy writing the song - someone has to hold it together!

How have I not seen this before? An amazing piece of work.

Love this 😍. Just watched it five times in a row 😊. Love these four together ( and Suzie, obvs) ❤️

The Long and Winding road sung by Frankie Valli
As long as it has the Original 4 in it, I'd be happy w/ whatever is sung.

A very clever worked tribute to the Four Seasons.Well done in their own way, not just copying the four seasons version.
