  • This printer came with no Z axis movement. Spilt Resin followed the leadscrew right into the stepper motor bearing. Resin made is way into the LCD making the printer unusable. The printer was very difficult to take apart. The build quality is nice.

Fixed this issue. Soaked the leadscrew with wd40 and let it eat through

Also had a z-axis motor fail on me today just out of the blue. Strangely it functions fine for zeroing and manually moving it, but for actual printing it goes all the way to the bottom of the rails and won't come up (different brand but the guts are 95% identical in this size printer). Looks like I'll be tearing her down later in the week. Doh!

Did you manage to fix this? I have a stepper motor not working. bought a replacement and its still not budging. not even making a noise.

Hmm I wonder if this might be my issue. Mono 2, plate moves up at down but it labour's to start moving and makes a grinding sound. ILl pull the backing plate off and have a look

What about using a steam cleaner to clean that bearing out
