U forgot this part, they CANNOT be with invertebrates, I put a starfish in my tank and a sea cucumber, he killed the starfish in days and the sea cucumber was bit! The only ones u can do are hermit crabs. Any types of hermit crabs will do.

Puffers will eat crabs too. No invert is safe with fresh or saltwater puffers. Besides maybe SA Amazon puffers but those guys are the lovable oafs of the aquarium hobby.
They have a beak in their mouth and basically crack shells like nuts, so people who think their crustaceans are safe with their armor has another thing coming.

Just got one a couple days ago. He's finally starting to come out and move around. His name is Donut and after my Valentini puffer, he's probably my new favorite. All puffers are amazing fish if you care for them correctly, hope I have both of mine for years to come 🙏

I saw this years ago in a local small petstore when I was younger, and at the time I didn't talk much. So I was too shy to ask why there was a Miniature mutant Dog swimming around in the backroom. It was actually quite creepy because It was very dark with all of the empty glowing fish tanks and that tiny dog was staring at me! ! But I really wanted him! XD

I once had one in a 100gal with a huge sebae anenome, one day my puffer somehow swam into the anemone and inflated himself rapidly making him float to the surface where he started gulping in air, well i saw this and grabbed him and stuck him under water and held him until he expelled all the air and water, but unfortunately he had been stung and was stressed and succumbed to marine ick in the following days.

Bro I love your videos and I want a dog face puffer but how do I get him from the bag to the tank without a net and without having him out of water also I don't want to add the water from the bag to my display tank
For puffers, we tend to have to make some of the existing water get into the tank, so that the puffer will not be stressed. We will acclimate them for a while tho so that the display tanks water ration is way over the water that he came in with.
@@BrockLeonard boy did I screw that up 😢 he got so stressed out he died in 30 minutes i hated seeing him go through that so im getting another one in a couple weeks im just gonna drip acclimate him instead of a little bit out a little bit in
I just watched a lady on you tube catch hers from her tank and lift him half way out of the water while she trimmed his teeth. I was so shocked too because when I bought my dog face I was taught how to expell the air from him if exposed.

I wanna buy a 125 gallon aquarium n turn it to salt water. But im afraid lol is it real different or time consuming to upkeep a salt water tank?
The main difference you’ll run into in keeping a saltwater tank is the setup, you have to get live sand for the substrate and live rock for the tank. Also, a difference is it is required you do a water change monthly (20%). After that, it’s really up to you on how far you go. If you go the reef side, then there are powerheads that help give the tank flow for the corals and specialty lights you have to get to let em grow. If you went fish only for the tank, it’s practically the same as keeping a freshwater. Hope this helps, let me know if you have any other questions. 😁

Adventuring_With_Braden definitely not a seahorse. They have to be kept alone. These are normally best in fish only, predator tanks. Bigger fish like tangs and angels and butterfly fish. But they aren’t so aggressive until eating, so they can be kept with peaceful fish too like clownfish.
@@BrockLeonard are they that peaceful could they live with gobies or all different clowns would there be any difference in different tangs also could they get on with rabit foxes fish or even damels
So wear dog fased puffer fish are sold like petsmart do they drain its venom or do they leave the venom in it since it cant poison people when they touch it but if you eat it

Khervin Monzon We’ve had a mappa puffer for this aggressively. We used to feed him every other day or every couple of days (large portions) but we changed it to feeding small portions every day and this helped him not bite the glass cause he was always getting food.

We had a porcupine puffer we feed by hand, never tried with the dog face, they got some sharp teeth on em' haha

Paul Rubinchik All have a chance of nipping at corals. The best ones I’ve seen be in a coral tank is the Blue Spotted Puffer and white spotted. They normally only pick at SPS corals.
HELP!!! my dogface puffer is sick he is curled up and is just attached to the wave machine he is still breathing and moving but doesnt have enough energy to swim away
Oh no!! Shut off the powerheads, let's test the parameters. Are any fish bullying your puffer? When's the last time the puffer ate? Let's see if we can get them unbothered by your other fish and eating.

Awesomegamr2008 * oh no, the jellyfish are cheap, that isn’t the problem. Jellyfish require a specific tank and those tanks run 3-500 dollars just for a nano one.
