Man, how much time I spent on those Bally machines... First it was Addams Family, then Twilight Zone, and after that, Doctor Who. I still even remember how excited I was after scoring Davros superjackpots ^_^ and the Dalek voices, who could forget those? Shortly put, I love that machine. One of my best ever played.
my dad bought this machine. I remember going to the store to pick out witch one were going to buy, batman caught my eye but my dad was set on this one.. it was pretty cool but i had NO idea what dr.who was or any clue what the game was about, but knowing how to play the game without knowing the game- was so cool... when arcade mode happened and the top of the machine had the moving lazer, after on in the early 2000s my parents spilt up and kicked my dad out, the machine was left in the bastment due to mom not alowing him to get his belongings, and she later sold it for an unknown amount. i wonder what it goes for these days
Dr who is one of the gorgeous pinball. Machine. In the same time one of the complicated. Technically the masterpiece in this pinball machine is the three level piece. It s a unique invention but on the other hand it s not easy to fix and repair. If I am gonna own a pinball machine I would rather choose a simple one.
I really hope that some day this is available on the Pinball Arcade. And good catch about the show starting in 1963 not 1962. The first show, An Unearthly Child, was shown the day after the Kennedy Assassination and as a result, they had to show the first episode again the following week since they felt that people were focusing on that event and did not watch the first episode as a result.
+ace942 FarSight's got a Kickstarter up to bring it to The Pinball Arcade www.kickstarter.com/projects/1067367405/pinball-arcade-doctor-who?ref=nav_search
Jose’s Gaming Channel it's in the game now but will be one of the tables that get removed from Pinball Arcade thanks to the current wms license holder. They don't Renew the Bally/Williams License
Man,thinking about it farsight studio's should really have a kickstarter for this.So they could add it to the pinball arcade.Doctor Who is relevant again now is the perfect time for it !
It says he lost seven of his lives, and yet the current Doctor at the time was Sylvester McCoy's Seventh Doctor. If the promo was right, then we would be on Paul McGann's Eighth Doctor, except he didn't debut until 4 years later, in 1996.
@tisgob Hey, there is a working Dr. Who pinball machine here in Buffalo, NY. Has to be only an hour from wherever in Southern Ontario you may be. You want to buy, correct? If you are interested, reply back or send me a message. Good luck on your quest!
Despite the cheesy backglass at least as good as Corvette. But unlike others pins, I never traded Dr. Who in. Atmosphere and sound are unsurpassed. (If you don't like the harshness you can get a software update. And there's even a kit to make the Dalek on top of the cabinet rotate.) Lots of humor, dependable, easy rule set yet a fast and addictive. A interactive movie, bowling alley, space invaders and time machine in one package. Underestimated sleeper, so get one while you can.
must have been very popular in Italy, I just bought one with "500 lires" on the coinslot
I have this, my wife bought this for my 30th. B-Day. I love it, now my 7yr. old son loves it too...

This is my favorite pinball machine still. Simply perfection.
today is Doctor Who's 50th Anniversary today! "EXTERMINATE! EXTERMINATE!"
At the minute, they have one of these at the Doctor Who Experience in Cardiff, in the lobby! 3 balls per credit, 3 credits per £1.
The time expander is really cool. Glad that it is now on Pinball Arcade so that I can play on both my computer and my iPad.
Here's in Italy we have still two or three Dr.Who flippers, still working! :)
Thx for uploading this promo, awesome!
Excellent pinball promotional video!
I just played this at MAGFest. Best pinball game ever!

The Daleks are the supreme beings of the Universe

there's just one downline: The voice quality. Williams had better quality voiceboards at that time. Anyways, great game!
I want this version of the theme song. :D

It started in 1963, not 62.
Very nice vids!! Love 'em!
I own it and absolutely love it.
This is an awesome game!
Where do they have. pinball machine?
I can not wait for this to hit The Pinball Arcade. Also, anyone else cringe when he used 'Doctor Who' as the Doctor's name.
Well the Doctor was credited as "Doctor Who" in the classic series up until Eccleston regenerates (Series 2 to be exact)
They actually managed a Title Drop again with the Eleventh Doctor, at the end of "Asylum of the Daleks".
Doctor...Who?
great machine I like it!

There was no internet back then so...
Is there anything worse than an American?
No.
