Awesome tactic. Plays some incredible football. Some of the best I've ever seen on FM. If you watch Fluminense in real life some of the moves produced by this are uncannily similar. Great job!

Dude, okay, you've kind of blown my mind right now and brought me back to enjoying FM24. I've spent a lot of time in FM23 and FM24 trying to get as close to relationist football as possible. I suspect I've been involved or at least read through many of the same forum threads and blogs as you did when researching this tactic. It was a lot easier in FM23, given a double pivot of RPMs and two Treqs up top would roam far across the pitch and lead to full pitch-tilts of 7 or 8 players. Unfortunately FM24 is harder to "break" in this way (unless it's a throw-in in which case they're fully capable of tilting for some reason), and I've been left incredibly frustrated by the experience. Having said all that, it's crazy how close you got on your first attempt. I was skeptical looking at your tactic, as many of the instructions are antithetical to how you would describe Fluminese's play, like playing through the middle. But because I've been frustrated by endlessly trying similar things over and over to no result, I decided to give this a go. Already only 20 minutes into my first test with this tactic, the results are much closer to Diniz' football than anything I've been able to achieve in over 20 hours of testing and tactic-crafting. The players are close together and the ball could go anywhere from anyone, where all my attempts had fairly predictable pass-maps with the same connections being made over and over again. There's still plenty of flexibility there to play with, too. Like moving the defensive line back a touch but instructing them to step up more, and there's room for interpretations of roles and individual instructions. This is a great tactic as is, but also a fantastic baseline for someone wanting to recreate this style of football. This is beautiful, thank you.

This is amazing exactly the kinda thing I've been wanting to see I've seen a few trying to recreate it but have failed in my opinion because the play in the match engine isnt what I was aiming for, can't wait to try this. Regardless of how it plays out results wise early on if it's as good as looks n sounds in terms of play style I'm gonna try sticking with it until the team has familiarity and cohesion because it is one of the more intricate difficult to replicate tactics for fm so it may be a case of players needing time to adapt also having the right kind of players to suit the roles. You have created a thing of beauty here with your thinking and a way to get as close as possible with what the match engine will allow.
Great Job! In my second game I put up a 16-0 against audax, lol. Just a comment about Keno, he is not an inverted winger, the guy is a traditional winger. He is right-footed, but he keeps wide open in the left, dribbles 1 on 1 running towards the goal line, prefer crosses than to shoot from distance, also a bad finisher.
Good effort, i've been trying to replicate this as well but FM has a very positional-centric approach no matter what you do to make the players fluctuate between their designated spaces. The players wait for the ball to come to them not the other way around. The latter is a common complain from foreign managers in Brazil (mostly Portuguese ones). Unfortunately FM encapsulates that idea into the match engine like it's telling you how to play the game. About Fluminense, the average positions map you looked at can be misleading because the players are roaming from one side of the pitch to the other, when you watch them play it becomes clear that the intention is to form very narrow clusters that are located very wide on the pitch, often hugging the touchline (also something impossible to replicate in game).

Hell no, he’s not staying Brazil’s manager for long. Even if Ancelotti doesn’t come. He’s already getting historic failures at the job. He’s good, but it’s waaay too far from this level.

He lacks a lot of tactical variation for when his style doesn’t work. And it’s either a beautiful win, or a terrible loss. There’s no middle ground with him. He’s a fantastic player developer, players love him, and many benefited from playing for him, like Bruno Guimarães. If a have a shit ton of money, like Man City, I would definitely have him to be the Head of Youth of my team. Or at least the B side head coach or the U20s. But when it comes to team success, it’s a whole different game. This year a lot of things went right for his team to succeed. Like, too many things, you can almost call it a fluke. It’s not a coincidence that these (Carioca and Libertadores) are the only two titles he has in his almost 15 years career.
