- Mark Milburn has found a lot of objects left over from Europe's wars, but the bombs... they're probably the scariest!

Something tells me this one is gonna go around again, a great video! The diver seems like the kind of guy I would want to go to a pub with and have a really cool chat. This is the stuff youtube was made for
A tremendous respect to those who do that kind of things to keep the waters safe.
Hopefully he’ll find something that’s museum worthy
I have had items in museums, still have some. Talking to the new owners of the Shipwreck Museum (Cornwall) and supplying them with more.

Yea.......there are a few things you don’t want to stick in a museum.
Live bombs is one of them.
Fragments of the real thing is fine...even a replica.
But not the real thing. Not fully disarmed and rendered inert at least.
One week after the 75th anniversary of the D-day landings a random WW2 bomb exploded in a (thankfully empty) German field.
It created a 33 foot wide hole that was 13 feet deep.
Old bombs, grenades, and land mines are still killing people to this day.
Just because they are “old” does not make them inert. In fact, it makes them more unstable.
Heck in the Deep South the bomb squad treat old dirt bombs (exploding cannon balls) from the US Civil War with extreme caution. Using a special pudgy/charge to blast holes into the ball...expelling the potentially dangerous contents out...and putting massive holes in the old cannon ball.
But at least now it’s safe to put on the living room table as a discussion piece.
Heck, in the past decade one man was killed when sawing a old navy dirt bomb in half...his saw insisted the very well sealed gun powder inside and he died.
Yea. Every hear farmers are killed on old war sites when farm equipment hits and sets off old bombs.
Yea. War and it’s legacy is no joke.
You've got to love diving to be a UK diver. Cold all year and UXB!
Guys like him will still be busy a century from now... even if there are no future wars to add to the lost ordnance.
I've actually stood on a 500lb while it was in 8' of water at Salamaua, I've seen some more, and heard of plenty of others around. On the weekends the kids come around selling artifacts they have dug up. The helmets and bayonets are too poor to buy now but the shells are in good condition. A 8yo kid with a bucket of 50 cal and when you look the primers are still intact. Bit worrying.
There is a submariner involved. This can only end well. Huge respect all.

Have any of the U-Boats that are intact or split been entered Their could be some historical information in them
The local shallow U-Boats have all been salvaged, so very little left. The deeper ones are quite intact, but, due to the depth the amount of equipment required to safely dive those depths would restrict access. They have very small openings.
Atlantic Scuba Thanks for answering but yeah I can see how it would be hard to get down to the deeper ones Probably for the best because this way they are a monument to those crew men who lost there lives on them
Even though not many will see them
Out of interest, all the WWI U-Boat logs are available from an archive in the U.S. I have just acquired a copy of a page from 18th December 1916 from a mine laying U-Boat, for a ship a mine sank a few days later, as well as the captain's hand drawn chart showing where they laid the mines.
read "Shadow Divers" it covers that subject quite.
In my small town some people found a old ww2 bomb and they had to evacuate a lot of the town
I'd straddle one mouthing "toe to toe with the Ruskies" through my mask just to see if the editors are paying attention aw
Look for danger and you will always find it .
What a nice handy man ...i want one for xmas ...
i quit my metal detecting hobby after finding 3 striker buttons from landmines on a suffolk beach
I wonder if the fish have flashbacks aw
Alexander Walle my goldfish served in an infantry unit, every time he hears a bang he hides under his castle
Hydrogen2Oxygen lmao my goldfish was in the infantry as well. Anytime he here’s someone speak German he hides

Big up 11 EOD RLC 💪
Send the bill for expenses to the Huns.
Could you imagine if dark as heck and your feeling an atom bomb that was secretly made or a nuke the was disposed of that way. Like heeeeelll no.
Well, I would rather be the one who sets it off than somebody walking along the beach if an atom bomb went bang!
That wall of water isn't going to kill you quickly, but the impact with a rock might if you don't struggle until you drown.
Campaigns for people to join UK forces and that you can be a Navy Diver and do this, but you can do it yourself
I mean... if you do this your self you have to pay for the lesson equipment and you are never sure wether you would be able to get a job since I imagine it is a very narrow market whilst of you do it with the navy your the one getting paid, you don’t have to pay for any lesson or equipment and you are secured a job of you pass
Save me artifacts damn in 30 years or so I wanna be able to go over there and find sum
We have been diving a wreck site that was first found in 1971, we are still finding new artefacts that have never been seen or recorded before. There will always be things to find.
A safey for the people by military as provide.
Now thats a good outro. Why is the new one so cheesy?
