    I hear that this one time, there was an antique player piano laying in a junkyard somewhere. It was in bad shape, and had sat in the sun and rain for months. One afternoon, it spontaneously started up and perfectly smashed its way through an over-the-top version of "Death Walts (Heaven Freezes Over)." A lone worker at the yard heard the chaotic yet harmonic screams rising from the heaps of garbage, and hurried over to see what the commotion was about. What he found was this lone, ghost-like piano wailing away at the most intense compilation of that song he had ever heard. The piano smashed its way through the final, awe-inspiring stanza of 'Death Waltz,' then slid off its perch atop the heap of rubble, and smashed to the ground just as the final chord was struck. He reported that it was the most beautifully-destructive thing he had ever seen or heard. According to some employees, sometimes, you can still hear the flailing chords in the late hours of the night.

    All of you clasic piano players you feel strange for how he is playing the piano.He plays what he feels and this the freedom of the music.Do you know why the most people are leaving the piano?Because the have a stupid teacher and all the time the listen the same word.Play like this not like this.Tell me... when beethoven mozart all this great artist wrote a song they have said that i will put ff in 2.34 mp on 6.45 noooooo they expressed their souls on a paper with notes and this is the magic.So when i play something i will play it like the way i want.This guy is great!!..sorry for my english....

    • @danielstewart5129
      @danielstewart5129 7 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Musicisfreedombr This guy probably got this good because he listened to his teacher. If he didn't have a teacher, how would he know how to play f or ff in a lot of songs. For example, Beethoven, his f is played differently than other composers. It's like you're playing as loud as a symphony orchestra. This is technique. People have teachers because they're there to correct you. Sure music is freedom but you still need technique.

      Of course you need a teacher for the music.a person with open mind.When a child discover the path of the music it can not undstand the depth of classic music.That why they leave music.Teacher has to give to the childs in same time song that they have to study and songs for their ages.

    @evilhypsterpirategiraffe612 9 ปีที่แล้ว +23

    Although he was great at hitting the right notes (At the speed he was playing at), there are still many improvements that could have been made. I'm not sure whether it was the piano, but on many of the arpeggios his dynamics were inconsistent. Also his use of the pedal wasn't the greatest, as it was held on for slightly too long on many occasions. Of coarse this guy is an amazing pianist, but I definitely wouldn't say he is the "best".

    • @ScottDavidWarner
      @ScottDavidWarner 9 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      I agree, saying the 'best' will always lead to a comparison of another master, which in turn brings criticism at the master level - so that's what you get, as evilhypster pointed out.
      The title was just to get clicks, and/or because the uploader believes he is the best / best person he's witnessed, and there's nothing wrong with either.
      He is really great though, don't get me wrong. I go by the actual technique, execution, and compassion/energy I felt. But best? well from what I can compare to with my experience, no.
      If you want to talk technique and execution, how about playing through all the Transcendental Etudes in one sitting "better" than Boris Berezovsky?
      Why not bring the full emotion of Chopin's scherzos, polonaise's, and mazurkas, "more" than Arthur Rubinstein demonstrated?
      How about composing a work 'more' beautiful Rhapsody In Blue by Gershwin.
      See the 'better' and 'more' are subjective, and are not strictly defined.
      Most people can only relate to what they have already previously experienced up to that point. To each experience is his or her own...
      In the end, it is all opinion, and he with the most ticket sales really wins =).
      Good Luck!

    He missed some notes with his right hand but over-all he was awesome the mistakes he made him more human which made really like his music which was like stardust from the back of a shooting star.

    best piano player in the world? I doubt it, but judging from everything else he composed, covered, improvised, and played, he is damn good. Good enough to be in the same league as animenz/Kyle Landry.

    People who are saying he's not the best, that may be but let's see you do better. At least he's expressive and unorthodox unlike mechanical Lang Lang and pianist

      Lol. A lot of people can do better. Only an imbecile would think repetitive (and sloppy) arpeggios and octaves are hard.
