Yes or course, it would be difficult to do it with this particular process. To add an armature, you’d be better off moulding a hand with a 2 part mould to allow you to lay the armature in place, making sure it’s not to close to the surface of the cast.
Finally thank you for explaining the process no one does that. I’m confused what did you use besides the fiberglass. I saw you put a liquid then fiberglass then more liquid. How long did you leave it to harden? Did you still use the resin easy flow 120 after that?
Sam Olmeda thanks! This was a general purpose resin with a resin gel coat to capture the detail. Iv recently used a polyurethane resin call shell shock and that works better for strengthening the mould. All curing times are on the data sheets for the materials
Creature Flesh Masks omg thank you so much for getting back to me. Did you use the fiberglass with the polyurethane resin? Also did you make a hole to pour the silicone in while you were making the mold or after?
Would it be feasible to create a wire armature & place it in the mold before casting, to allow for realistic posing?

Sam Olmeda yes the fibreglass strengthens the resin as resin is quite brittle on its own, i’ve learnt this the hard way in the past!
That’s great but where can I watch a tutorial step by step for beginner? I’m lost.
Hi, I’m planning on doing some more in depth life casting tutorials soon! Thanks for watching!
