    What glue do you use Gormo??

    • @greatchesterfordjunction
      @greatchesterfordjunction  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      G`day Ron
      UHU glue stick to stick the brick paper sheets to the card
      PVA to glue the wall parts and sections together..........also for the windows
      PVA for the roof slates
      PVA works extremely well with card
      Cheers

    Awesome job Gormo. If you have a look at old photo's of Ross-on-Wye Goods Shed, it actually has a height Loading Gauge built in to the interior, I think it would good in yours too! ...Cheers Les.

    G’day Gormo and another splendid looking build, you have there. Your technique with the overlapping slates does add to the realism of the roof by giving a 3D effect. All I can add is that you must eat a lot of Mr. K’s Corn Flakes 😂 Best, Jason

    • @greatchesterfordjunction
      @greatchesterfordjunction  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      G`day Jason,
      Yes the Corn Flakes have been a great source of modelling card..........at least it doesn`t have to go through the recycling depot and it also reduces my model train budget ......😄
      Cheers

    Hello Gormo
    Another fascinating vlog from a master modeller. May I ask what you made the shades for your lights?
    Regards
    Lee@near

    • @greatchesterfordjunction
      @greatchesterfordjunction  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      G`day Lee
      The shades are made from plastic end caps for screw heads........as seen on flat pack furniture.
      Available from your local hardware store.
      They may be slightly over scale but I think they suit the Goods Shed .....see link below

    Lovely work Gormo, you've a real knack for card modelling, your buildings look superb and credible. I was going to ask how you tackled glazing with this one (there are several methods of course).
    The backscene looks like my local Marlborough Downs that the old M&SWJR (latterly GWR and then BR) dissected. I've a very similar back scene on my 7mm micro layout 💜✌️😊
    You need to add gutters and downspouts too Gormo🤔🤔 Up to you, it's your railway💜✌️😊

    • @greatchesterfordjunction
      @greatchesterfordjunction  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      G`day Muso,
      The glazing is a mixture actually.
      The roof light is from a SuperQuick station kit and has been cut up and modified to suit the space allocated.
      The wall windows were acquired on Ebay and were inserted inside the wall layers
      The office window is from the same set of SuperQuick windows as mentioned above.
      The backscene was a freeby from Railway Modeller some time back.....I have put trees over the top of it in some locations.
      Yes I do intend to add guttering etc ....just to finish it off properly
      Thanks for your comments
      Cheers
      Gormo

    ¡Hola buenas tardes Gormo! The results from the Spanish jury are in…….. Nuestros doce puntos van a... The Goods Shed. As expected, another cleverly thought out and, designed for purpose, scratch build. The attention to the internal lighting scheme is absolutely spot on. The idea of easy removal is something I will definitely be considering for the goods shed up on the branch line, here on the layout for Zurgena station. Also, things to note: as ever Gormo, working to rule #1 explains it is perfectly fit for purpose and, the design is unique. Keep doing what you do best and, you’re right, it never ends. Un saludo. Gary

    Dear Gormo, awesome how you’ve made the electrical connection for the goods shed. Very interesting concept, definitely will put your method on the ‘drive.’ Love the build slides. Looking forward to your next episodes. Cheerio

      The electrical connection is really very simple, but effective. It does rely on everything sitting just right, but that`s not terribly hard to achieve
      See you next time
