  • A ride around town meeting up with someone important to me from the past. Word of advice, take the time to keep in touch because life is moving in the fast lane the older and more responsibilities you have. But first, I come to the realization that I am completely lost with what is going on in the world. I’m so sidetracked by this channel and learning the ins and outs with the creation aspect that I have put my blinders on to the rest of the world. That may not be a bad thing after all. Hope all is well and let’s continue this ride with episode 67.
    Enjoy the Ryde 🔥

Disconnecting from the social media, news, ect is super important to me. My generation didn't grow up with all of this connectedness (is that a word?). So it's extremely relaxing and allows me to recharge my batteries.

Connectedness is in fact a word and if it wasn't, it fit. I hear you on that. I might have been a few years off from the generation that is glued to a phone night and day. I played sports every day after school. My friends came over since I lived in a cul-de-sac with a basketball hoop in the driveway. Countless games were made up and we did it all until the street lights came on.
Now... well, we all know how it is now. Feels good to get away. If it weren't for TH-cam, I'd probably be good with a pager.

Taking a break is the best way to spark and relight the creativity man! Next, I'll start teaching you about meditation and what that can do for creativity. Lets go down the rabit hole!
Im currently in a hiatus from most of the world and I'm finding it really refreshing. Back in tune with family, finding restful sleep, and not worrying about a dang thing on the Internet (except for new uploads to this channel 😊)
    Thanks for the ride!

I hear ya bud! I'll never go back to Facebook on a personal level. Any of those social media sites can easily drain your time without you even realizing it. Deflate you consciously or unconsciously for that matter.
I am ready for any rabbit hole these days. Looking at breathing exercises since we are on the topic.
Resets are important. The way businesses "give" you leave time benefits them as well. You look forward to a vacation, reset, come back rejuvenated. At least, that's the plan.
Enjoy your hiatus as long as you are able to!!!

Man, I’m just so flattered that you assume that because I’m a subscriber that I’m a person. ☺️
Dude, what mic did you use for the voiceover? That sounds really good.
I disconnected from Facebook 5 or 6 years ago and it’s been GREAT. I realized most of what I was seeing was people pissing and moaning about politics. I don’t feel like I’m missing anything by not getting on there regularly. I know the big news stories, but I honestly don’t make a point to follow the news each day because I feel like a lot of it is just designed to get people worked up-whether someone is watching CNN or Fox News. In my opinion a lot of the so-called “being connected” aspect of today’s world makes people less connected to one another. It makes people think in more of a “us vs. them” mentality than trying to connect with the people around them. In a nutshell- I enjoy life a lot more being “disconnected” and I don’t feel like I’m missing anything- except for manufactured drama, which I can’t say I’ve ever missed having.

Not just a person but an OG of the channel. As soon as I said it, I had to quicky explain my point.
I bought a mic a couple of months ago for when I was going to do lives and love it. Barely used it but having it on the desk and busting it out for this video got my gears turning. It’s a Samson (Not Samsung) Q9U. I use Premiere Pro to take out the sound of me inhaling for my next line because it is that sensitive up close but I am extremely happy with the results. I strongly recommend it. I also bought some lav mics for future ideas but have not even messed with them to this point. The Multimedia Team at work got me into all these gadgets.
You aren’t lying! I love the fact that my Facebook shows 99+ notifications. Haven’t clicked on them in years. I use it for birthdays (that I still miss) and play around on the marketplace. I’d venture to say that 90% of conversations outside of the home are done so digitally these days. These being text, email, social media, ect. Completely made up stat but sounded good. Too time consuming and yes, drama. Unnecessary drama I might add. I like your quote of, “Manufactured Drama.”
A quick story. I was acting for the day and we had a dispatched commercial fire alarm. Fast forward to the end (rarity by me) there was a complaint online about the parking situation. It was completely false and their audience in the comment section were mislead by several errors in her post. Nah, I don’t even want to scroll through that all day.
Lastly, the news… Yeah, the news… These problems seem too simple when you zoom out. If you solve all the problems… Damn, want to write a bunch but you know, can’t on here. 😇
