Now I have to buy a bolt extractor tool, if the impact didn't take it off, then who the fuck tightened it? I don't trust anyone working on cars besides me.
4:40 I was scared the hose was gonna blow off and spray boiling coolant. Definitely needs a new radiator and upper and lower tad hose. If that hose is swollen like that, my guess all the hoses are shot.

The painted valve covers, the custom made L-Bracket for his throttle cable, the custom made upper radiator hose, on inch extended lower control arms, banging the left hand exhaust for it to clear the steering shaft, heater core 90° tubes, the power steering N/A hose he miraculously had laying around, ETC!! It was a badass build series and I'd really recommend you fellas watch it, all in all... badass car no questions asked!

Tiffany Hwang a brand new truck can break a belt if it's installed badly. seeing as its a 200k mileage truck, the belt could've been dry rotted or anything really. the belt broke with enough force to break the radiator hose port but the truck still drove a few miles. shit happens regardless. There's no telling what the guy who had it before towed with it or how heavy it was. but it was fixed quickly and still drove to new York and towed a car back. I'd say it's a win

You can fix that radiator temporarily by adhering a piece of smaller PVC pipe inside what's left of the radiator. Then from there you can probably get the hose on with a tight enough hose clamp.
glad to see the 7.3 puttin in work! since I'm sure you want that truck to run as worry free & long as possible you may want to think about flushing out all that tap water you poured in there and run a void mix of coolant and distilled water. otherwise shit will stay to grow and corrode that iron block and where out the pump and block passages. just throwing it out there.
Chrysler hasent had the best go with transmissions. the cummins is bullet proof the shit connected to it not so much. i like dodge and ford. ford can never figure out how to get egr coolers to work and dodge cant get a decent transmission.
tyler boyer well actually the nv5600 and g56 6 speed manual transmissions are bullet proof with the Cummins. The automatics need to be extremely taken care of.

If you hold a bottle of coolant or windshield wash sideways when you pour the stream won't have that pulse and it's much easier to pour without spilling.
I i dont know if anyone has said anything about it yet but as a car detailer I'd say you should take a lil bit of engine degreaser and power wash the engine off ur truck just so it's clean from all the coolant that got all over.

Hey Orion. You should make sure you change the oil in your new truck soon. If it overheated when your belt broke and you lost coolant. Just a suggestion. Change the oil and filter! Cause you don't want to damage your engine. I over heated my engine and didn't change the oil. About a month later she seized up :/. Idk if it's cause my oil turned to shit after overheating. Just a warning tho. Trying to look out this time no hate!
This just happened to me last week! Both my serpentine AND my alternator/water pump belt came off on my 91' mazda protege. And also my coolant bypass hose burst as well, all at the same time. I left the biggest smoke trail behind me ever! That was scary, no power brakes, power steering, coolant circulation, and no alternator.

i dont think a sti or a honda s2000 would be towing a fifth wheel or gooseneck. and why not the 7.3 its a really reliable engine. sure it has its problems. such as eventually pissing fluids everywhere but for the most part its reliable. my 7.3 is at 700k kms and its still going strong. with regular maintenance it will probably keep going for over a million

If you actually plan on long distance traveling, you will have to replace the radiator and those hoses so it doesn't overheat again. Once a plastic tube breaks off the radiator is pretty much toast and it will likely blow a hose again because of the immense pressure.
very expensive lol, Ive got an 06 duramax i know that diesel life. I feel like a 6.0 or 6.6 would be a much better bang for your buck when it comes to diesel pickups.
Warload my 6.6 has over 350k miles on the original engine AND transmission. I'd say reliability is not a concern with the 6.6 lly and later engines, the earlier ones though did have head gasket problems and injector issues, but those were both fixed for the 2004/5 model year. 7.3's ARE very reliable, however the power they produce is pathetic by today's standards. The 7.3 never produced more than 275 hp from the factory and no more than 525 ft lbs of torque. The 6.0 brought those numbers up 50 each, and the lbz 6.6 had 360 hp and 660 ft lbs of torque right from the factory. 7.3 is a great engine, but power output isn't great considering how much Orion spent on it when he could've gotten something newer and more powerful

Good luck with tons of corrosion inside your engine. Red+Green coolant dont mix well
so if you want to change the belt you have to drain half the coolant or just let the belt break and drain it for you

This just happened to me last week! Both my serpentine AND my alternator/water pump belt came off on my 91' mazda protege. And also my coolant bypass hose burst as well, all at the same time. I left the biggest smoke trail behind me ever! That was scary, no power brakes, power steering, coolant circulation, and no alternator.

i mean it's your money that we made you orion, but imo you fucked up, you coulda bought an sti, s2000, evo, or coulda built a 10 second honda SO MUCH MORE than a pos ford, it may be fully rebuilt, but it's still a ford and will break all the time, why not get an older chevy dually? or even cummins?? then you coulda just daily the genesis cause it's a pretty damn new car that's got hella options and shit, i understand that there's not as much room as the 7.3 for a daily, but for 16k you coulda got a jdm sti wagon or a forester sti! and daily that!and still have the dam 90's chev dually for like 2-3k like gdam bruhh
i dont think a sti or a honda s2000 would be towing a fifth wheel or gooseneck. and why not the 7.3 its a really reliable engine. sure it has its problems. such as eventually pissing fluids everywhere but for the most part its reliable. my 7.3 is at 700k kms and its still going strong. with regular maintenance it will probably keep going for over a million

If you actually plan on long distance traveling, you will have to replace the radiator and those hoses so it doesn't overheat again. Once a plastic tube breaks off the radiator is pretty much toast and it will likely blow a hose again because of the immense pressure.
You so couldve bought something newer and nicer for the money you spent on that piece, im so dissapointed.

very expensive lol, Ive got an 06 duramax i know that diesel life. I feel like a 6.0 or 6.6 would be a much better bang for your buck when it comes to diesel pickups.
DoctorSherwood 6.0's and 6.6's are prone to failure.
Warload my 6.6 has over 350k miles on the original engine AND transmission. I'd say reliability is not a concern with the 6.6 lly and later engines, the earlier ones though did have head gasket problems and injector issues, but those were both fixed for the 2004/5 model year. 7.3's ARE very reliable, however the power they produce is pathetic by today's standards. The 7.3 never produced more than 275 hp from the factory and no more than 525 ft lbs of torque. The 6.0 brought those numbers up 50 each, and the lbz 6.6 had 360 hp and 660 ft lbs of torque right from the factory. 7.3 is a great engine, but power output isn't great considering how much Orion spent on it when he could've gotten something newer and more powerful
