Magnetically entertaining episode as ever. I first saw Depeche Mode at the Bridge House Tavern in Londons Canning Town in 1980. It was essentially a big pub with a thousand of us jammed in amongst the smoke, sweat and cider. The band, let alone the crowd were just teenagers, but together that night we felt invincible. I suppose the fact that DM are still here today is testament to the power of their music 🖤
Thanks :) That sounds like a really fun and exciting time. I watched them in Copenhagen shortly after their debut release. I still think it was the best concert I've seen with them :)
