Have you ever seen a penguin as big as a human? Well, now you can! In this TH-cam short video, you can.
There was a species of penguin called kumimanu biceae that grew to be over 6 feet tall, towering over many modern-day humans.
The largest fossil found stood at 6-foot 8-inches and terrorized the Antarctic planes.
However, today the largest species of penguin is the Emperor Penguin which is significantly shorter than 6 feet in height.

@@carrots6249 umm.. Comparing to chimps, i think these creature is pretty chill. Chimps would attack other species for no reason, cannibalize their own kind, and torturing their prey as painful as possible before they killing it. chimpanzee choose to be aggressive at any situation and would gang up on bigger enemy while penguin hesitate to even attacking something bigger than them. If they were dominating the world, i think they would see us pretty much like a how we see a bear (big, scary, and need to be avoided) while chimp maybe will treat us like a pet or worst than that, we would be putted in a zoo.

When temperatures get warmer, animals get smaller, on top of that, mass extinction events (like the big asteroid that wiped out dinosaurs) tend to wipe out larger species the easiest.

That may have been just me, though.
In school, they taught us that emperor penguins were about the size of a 7 year old child. I was 7, when I learnt that, so I assumed: "Oh, so they're as tall as me."
The problem was that, as I grew, so did the imaginary penguin in my mind. I just subconsciously compared it to my own height for years, until I finally saw an emperor penguin at a museum at the age of 18.
