I saw this Question on last weeks episode. *I replied: Downward X, Plansa, Upward X. Forehand Strike, palm down Wittik, & forehand Slash, then backhand Strike, palm up Wittik, & backhand Slash.
@@SharpTalkPodcast definitely, anything i can learn an pick up on an/or refine helps. My Kali, dunno if there's different versions though seemed to be, teaches alot of similar to what I see with your channel. An it's one my favorites in Martial Arts so finally got chance to learn some things
Solid work, feeding the strong first. Biggest issue, I’ve seen, is presenting a target not a threat. Saw Doug doing some double stick and emphasizing together and independent movement. Thing of beauty, that was. Would love a lesson on that.
Thank you do much for this vital information and wisdom 🙏 an interesting aspect of wada ryu karate is that we are taught ( as Doug highlighted ) that the best fight is the one you dont have. Karate has given me the situational awareness to recognise a troublemaker before they have kicked off. Simply remove yourself from their destructive path. Fight without fighting, so to speak. Geoff Thompson has a great book on this. Peace and respect to anyone reading this 🙏
