Genuinely look forward to getting home from work and watching this content. I’ll never be able to afford most of these but it’s awesome getting to see and experience them.
I sold Boyd knives for years. Its a great material for marine applications. Its "toothy" and has the micro serrations you talk about, but its very task specific. You can cut rope for a long time and it own't rust. However, its not task specific for other cutting purposes. I liken it to 6AL4V TI with a carbide edge but different. It won't cut paper but will kind of "self Sharpen" and will do its purpose perfectly well. Its weird. Lol
Portage means to carry your boat over land between two bodies of water. Their basically saying its a good knife to have while your carrying a canoe on your head, eh.🇨🇦😉
@@_MiMo_ we were planning on doing that into Ontario last trip but during that time y'all weren't letting anyone in when COVID was pretty fresh. That was a bummer.Haven't looked into whether or not it's eased back up yet.
Reminds me of a bread and butter knife. Hey this gives me an idea, flipping bread and butter knives, only thing is that washing up will remove the lubricant from the pivot. The thought of kids flipping bread and butter knives at the dinner table and exclaiming “what’s up youtuuube!” amuse me.
Mr. MC would you prefer the full titanium over the bolstered version? The titanium in real life is darker that what it appears to be in camera. Didn’t you buy a full titanium version, I cannot find that video…. Great content😊
I got a good deal in a lightly used T365 Mini Bali which I mainly got because Terravantium is unique and it’s a mini Bali, so fidgety fun! Also, I suck at Bali flipping but I haven’t cut myself with it, so there’s that.
I jumped to commentary in order to help out with “portaging,” but see immediately below that.Mike Morgan has done so! He’s Canadian, they are BORN with canoe paddles in hand so believe him! Nice knife, great review as always but LAST thing I need is another item to fight for carry time/space.
I finally realized why sensible companies would still use T6: if it locks in aluminum/G10, it is there so you would strip the head instead of the backspacer, because a stripped screw head is way less problematic than a stripped backspacer
I have the Terrain 365 Mako, which is a smaller titanium framelock flipper and i like it. Kinda weird that the Invictus has T6 hardware because the Mako is all T8. I like the blade material, its just weird because it feels dull even though its not but it just keeps cutting somehow lol
Interesting Knife at Combat Troodon pricing lol.. I know Obsidian Blades will retain a Razor sharp edge for a very long time but are extremely brittle. It looks like a nice EDC knife but very unneeded and gimmicky at a really high price. The T6 hardware is kind of a joke at this price point but it really is a nice Knife. Cool Video
Very pretty knife and cool materials, but I love chasing edge sharpness so might have to skip it. Also the lume is a gimmick but kind of a fun one. At least it might help find it once!
They say on their Homepage: Terrain 365™ edged tools are 100% made in the USA or as a hybrid with fully vetted, highest caliber international partners. For some of the fixed blades they explicitly advertise „handmade in USA“. They don‘t do this with their folders. So the assumption is correct that they are in fact made overseas.

VERY interesting. I spend a fair amount of time in the BWCA. Too bad these can't be found anywhere lol
@@BParker55 Ah, the 11th province lol. Nice!👍 Minnesota is land of 10 000 lakes. "Portage" over to Manitoba bro, 100 000 lakes lol.🛶🇨🇦🤝🇺🇸

@@BParker55 Yeah that sucks. Hopefully this summer travelling will be better.
I’ve been waiting for this review. I have the Ti version of this knife, and I appreciate the insightful thoughts of The Metal Complex. 💪🏾🙏🏾
Sup complex, I just bought my first sebenza 🤩, also you’re my fav knife reviewer/overviewer. Great content mang
Thank you! And congrats on the new knife!
Almost pulled the trigger on this but went with the Eklipse bowie instead!👊🏽🗡
Normally go for full ti but prefer this one like this. Going on the list next to the quietcarry drift!
I absolutely love that blade geometry 📐
Reminds me of a bread and butter knife.

I keep a Boye folder on my life jacket. All the time.
Its t8ip. Thats why there was movement in the pivot. Just like the t6s are 6ip.
More people need to know about torx plus
I finally realized why sensible companies would still use T6: if it locks in aluminum/G10, it is there so you would strip the head instead of the backspacer, because a stripped screw head is way less problematic than a stripped backspacer
MC have you checked out the terrain 365 mako flipper with the harpoon blade?
Weird but cool. Looks like something someone would use in a scifi netflix series. Lmao
The open and close stop pins are the backspacer.
Wow what a knife!

Oh man, i guess theyll break lol
Bill says he's waiting for the Buck 110 Terravantium.
I'm throwing handfuls of spaghetti at a wall here, it's not all gonna stick.🍝💣
Hahahahaha
Love the profile of this one!
Hi MC, isn't the whole knife nonmagnetic?
Definitely an interesting knife, need to look more into it.
Also terrain says do not pry or chop with their blades they will break terravantium is more brittle than steel
That's good to know. I was assuming it wasn't tough stuff, but truthfully, I didn't know. Thanks! 👍
@@metal_complex absolutely its always weird with these new blade materials
Good looking knife, a modern day gentleman's knife.
very handsome knife, very interesting material, and non-magnetic. nice
Anyone know where I can get titanium anodised ? Picturing this lady in bronze/gold!
Hindereeve? The next high end collaboration?
Very pretty knife and cool materials, but I love chasing edge sharpness so might have to skip it. Also the lume is a gimmick but kind of a fun one. At least it might help find it once!
It grows new teeth?! Like a shark!?
Very amazing looking knife. Not made in the US tho. That USA stamp is legit verging on false advertising
More info needed. Please elaborate
@@metal_complex I believe the USA is in reference to where the steel is from. The knife itself is made overseas
Have you got a link that states this information? It'll help with future reviews

Interesting. I'll include that info in the next review
Very interesting knife.
Was this the AT or the ATC?
AT
Ngl the blade material makes me think I will get like 5 different Status Effects if I accidentally cut myself with it.
Sounds line a ceramic edge, but, more durable.
...
I don’t know what, but something about how that knife looks doesn’t sit right with me
I get that. It's odd in a way
Tongue depressor handle shape, maybe?
That blade looks a bit like my sog pent arc
35:29 my umnumzaan never comes off center🤷♂️😂
Personal I love the blade shape and the the concept of the internals but the handle shape is a bit blah to me
Ya its kind of blah. I agree.
I’m going to buy 8 and pretend I’m wolverine 😂
In my world terravantium = unobtainium
Folks, this aint your grandpa’s dendritic cobalt.
k390 police 4 lightweight
?
@@metal_complex maybe a review?
Oh. Ya that might be something I look at down the road 👍
Maybe one of them idiot knife reviewers that destroys knives will show us how tough it is
I want to like it but I just think it’s really ugly
I’m not a fan of finger choils.
Terrain 365 and PDW are owned by the same person by the way
