I came here for Roberta. But I left feeling a powerful, uniting, soft, strong, depth and intelligence in each of these womyn. This conversation created a capacity for so much meaning. And this kind of conversation is missing in our cultural social media discourse. Talk about erasure, we are experiencing the erasure of spaces for conversations like this. I wasn't sure what a plenary about style would be like. With so much surfacey and ungrounded conversation in social media about political and gay topics I was skeptical. We need more conversations like this in the culture. Such wise thoughts about patriarchy and usurpation of burgeoning individual identity. I am a better womyn and human for this conversation today.

The part where they mention the thing about being a masculine girl wanting to protect their mom is was very relatable to me, I was mainly raised by my grandma but I think I felt the same, even if today I usually present in a very traditionally femenine way I think it´s interesting that people still tell me I behave in a very masculine way, i don´t know it was just nice seeing someone with a similar experience :) thank you for making this

I present as Femme too and people who have gotten to know me tell me I’m more like a man. I’ve always been a mother bear to the world. I think of it as mother bear or Joan of Arc energy, but I think most people interpret it as something else. And this includes to butch partners. I’ve always had this “male” energy. In some ways it’s like not having a place.
