LOL, honestly , this knife wasn't designed to be a flipper. We just wanted the forefinger to be protected...LOL But hey flip them if you got them! Thanks for the review!
That's what I thought! Nobody want their hands to slide up on the blade. While I prefer thumbstuds, I do like knives to have a non-poking flipper to have an additional finger guard, depending on the purpose of the knife. Depending on the purpose, I do like
Bryan...the scratch video we are looking for is Nick's most recent on the Protech Malibu...where he flips open his custom Ti model and scratches the handle of the aluminum model! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Yes, he immediately calls himself a "jackass"! Nice unboxing, here. 👍🏼
Beautiful knife! This one is DEFINITELY going on my knives to get short list. The flipper and thumb stud deployment combined with the button lock is so sweet. Edit: I contacted Spartan Blades, which is an amazing company, and spoke to customer service rep Kim Harper. I was able to purchase one directly from the factory store. I paid for 2 day UPS shipping and Kim shipped it out before noon and it showed up the next day. It's an amazing knife that's made entirely in the USA with excellent fit/finish. If you can get one you won't be disappointed.
The way it sounds opening and closing reminds me of a CRK and that just sounds perfect for the price. I love it. Wish it was more of a modified tanto shape.
Great knife, mine was really sharp out of the box. Definitely a thumbstud deployment knife with a flipper tab. You can also middle finger flick it reliably. They made a good video on it when it first came out giving you a nice over view of the knife and it confirms it runs on alpha bearings. Great price for what you are getting, and great customer service. I do agree on the carry profile, that is it's biggest downfall but you get used to it. Once I get out of VA I will be getting a Zelos next!
Oh and fun fact, bc I didn't know and had to ask them, the additional design next to Spartan logo is a pine tree representing their new joint venture, Pineland Cutlery with Kabar.
I’ve never had any issues with s35vn, can’t imagine I wouldn’t like s45vn. Pallas has been on my radar for a while. Really great looking button lock setup. And yeah it definitely might be calling for a flipper delete. Thanks for the look at it.
I just ordered the spartan blades kranos last night i love my harsey too i should have ordered it straight from spartan blades im sure im getting s35vn for 530 dollars i would rather have s45vn
Still too early to tell, but part of the reason for getting the Pallas was to have two from the same company in the same steel that I know for certain will be heat treated properly. It does seem to hold an edge a but better while not being any harder to sharpen.
it is actually on bearings
Great Knife! Ordered and asked for S45VN. Delivered today. Great service and feedback from Spartan! Thanks for the heads up Slicey!

Thanks for the comment! Always great to see manufacturers involved!

Love both of these blades😊👍
Same here. I'm glad to see the Pallas getting some love.
This definitely needs a comparison video against the Socom Elite.
So glad you did this video. The Pallas and zelos don't get any love really.
Sweet, I really like this knife. Wish it came in titanium.
I really like that knife.

I've been a big fan of the Hogue ex01 4" button lock lately. Kinda looks similar.
I like it, i have seen the light (i need a button lock).
Last time I put my "special stank" on something I got arrested. Hope it goes better for you.
He put his thumb on the poonie, too! 😮
I see a battle with the Mordax for sure. Nice Star Wars reference.
Nice. It was a comment on your most carried for the month I think.
"thumb on the puny" Now I have to listen to Zappa's Dynamo Hum
how is deployment with the left hand? and closure?
awesome looking knife.

Is this washers or bearings? Crossing my fingers for washers...
Bearings
Why do you prefer washers?
I so caught the south park reference lol
that sound
Does this even compare with the protech malibu? Thats some para 3 stock clip carry.
How are the protests in Rochester? Hope you are staying safe.
What do you think about the s45vn over the s35?

Slicey Dicey sounds good enough to me lol I just can’t get it soon enough!
Just ordered one !! Does anybody make a deep carry clip for it ?
Do you know if they have a deep carry clip for it
...this is not the scratch video I'm looking for...
$285 titanium? USA made? Mmmmmyeah okay fine.
$285 ALUMINUM? Ehhhhhhhhh idk dude.
That "tink" sound when you flip it got me hot, though...
