We just didn't discard the note we discarded all the old currency printing machines as well. The new machines are completely isolated and secluded from unauthorised Personals. Dumb porkies all they can now do is print just old notes, roll it and eat channa from those notes

I remember I was given Indian currencies for US dollars at a government money transfer centre in Chennai. When I gave those notes at food court of Asundas (an IT company) the girl at KFC counter said those notes were fake. We were scared but she casually said not a big thing so go and change them. When we went back to that money transfer guy he too calmly replaced the currencies. Now the dots are connected.
The same trend I can see for India as well. only strange thing is that for both euro and USD the INR strengthened for a short period just for 2017 but then again followed a downward trend. My question is did we compromise our currency in order to affect the other?

The devaluation of Indian currency vis-a-vis thr the USD is a good thing if it under control as we are a export oriented country and a weaker currency makes us competitive in the global market because of the low cost labour that we can provide, saying that the fall in the value of the INR is not as drastic as the PKR.

I think demonetisation was correct and I was supporting that step from 8th Nov 2016 ... Lots of debate .. quarrels I had with my friends and relatives when I said the demontzn were correct steps.. now the numbers and present economic statistics is indicating the greatness of demo!
One of the reasons is the treatment of the majority vote and the independence of Bangladesh. Hard working people of Bengal especially East Pakistan who were not unionised venomously as West Bengal have been substantially helping. The present UPI transactions in India has made exchange of fake notes most difficult. Digital mobile Rupees would strengthen this further.

Demonetization changed a lot for India.. I am not sure how it affected to pak but sure it benefits for Indian economy.. may not be to curb the black money.. but it prevented to move of white money into the black market .. pre demonetization, a lot of nri's used to send money from hawala, it is well-known fact .. I read so many articles, there use to be thousands of agencies use to work on this .. all that is white money, not black money, it was hard-working ppl money.. but for a lot of ppl that is an easy process, not need to create nric and do all the stuff, simply give money to a local guy, and in India, they give Indian rupees to their family members .. that is a lot of money, now barely anyone send money from hawala, now most of the money comes through proper banking system... that is a huge change, all those back channels gone. earlier no one knows how they use that hawala money .. I think that is one of the great achievement that happened from Demonetization

SirJi, Pakistan was buying the same paper from Delaru company which was engaged by UPA Govt to print Indian currency. Also our most famous ex Finance minister has sold a second hand printing machine to Pakistan. Of course, he didn't sale them to print birthday invitation cards. They knew, what these machines are used for. So at least Pakistan should send a Thank you note to our earlier UPA Govt for boosting their economy for few decades. There are so many reasons, why Pakistan is so desperate to see Congress in power in India.

@@cooldude6408I don't actually have a pin point answer but I think bcz India had cut all relations with Pakistan and made it very difficult for across border businesses after 2019 they couldn't recover from the demonetization easily and gain proper technology for printing new notes.....

I remember I was given Indian currencies for US dollars at a government money transfer centre in Chennai. When I gave those notes at food court of Asundas (an IT company) the girl at KFC counter said those notes were fake. We were scared but she casually said not a big thing so go and change them. When we went back to that money transfer guy he too calmly replaced the currencies. Now the dots are connected.

it was an undoubtful bigget mistake of indian gov. When modiji gave his speech about demonetisation there was only one line for terrrorism(i listened to that speech) and every other thing was about benefits for india .but till date indian gov. did not tell how much blackmoney has been collected so it is foolish to tell such conspiracy theories about pakistan. maybe there financial crisis is because of their extrainvestment of money in their rmy(rmy dictatorship) and the biggest wonder is that if we convert their prices to indian rupees still there price r lower in many products...

The devaluation of Indian currency vis-a-vis thr the USD is a good thing if it under control as we are a export oriented country and a weaker currency makes us competitive in the global market because of the low cost labour that we can provide, saying that the fall in the value of the INR is not as drastic as the PKR.

I think demonetisation was correct and I was supporting that step from 8th Nov 2016 ... Lots of debate .. quarrels I had with my friends and relatives when I said the demontzn were correct steps.. now the numbers and present economic statistics is indicating the greatness of demo!
One of the reasons is the treatment of the majority vote and the independence of Bangladesh. Hard working people of Bengal especially East Pakistan who were not unionised venomously as West Bengal have been substantially helping. The present UPI transactions in India has made exchange of fake notes most difficult. Digital mobile Rupees would strengthen this further.
I don't even remember when was the last time i visited an atm.to get cash .

Actually Abhijit sir has not told the full story:
Pakistan was making original Indian currency because previous government has sold the old obsolete currency printing machine to Pakistan.
Now Modi has changed the color , dimensions, shape of all Indian currency. Moreover present government is also tracking present situation carefully.

Demonetization changed a lot for India.. I am not sure how it affected to pak but sure it benefits for Indian economy.. may not be to curb the black money.. but it prevented to move of white money into the black market .. pre demonetization, a lot of nri's used to send money from hawala, it is well-known fact .. I read so many articles, there use to be thousands of agencies use to work on this .. all that is white money, not black money, it was hard-working ppl money.. but for a lot of ppl that is an easy process, not need to create nric and do all the stuff, simply give money to a local guy, and in India, they give Indian rupees to their family members .. that is a lot of money, now barely anyone send money from hawala, now most of the money comes through proper banking system... that is a huge change, all those back channels gone. earlier no one knows how they use that hawala money .. I think that is one of the great achievement that happened from Demonetization
I was in Turkey in July for Eid al Adha and Turkey is worried counterfeit money is pouring into its currency so when you see that money you have to destroy it

SirJi, Pakistan was buying the same paper from Delaru company which was engaged by UPA Govt to print Indian currency. Also our most famous ex Finance minister has sold a second hand printing machine to Pakistan. Of course, he didn't sale them to print birthday invitation cards. They knew, what these machines are used for. So at least Pakistan should send a Thank you note to our earlier UPA Govt for boosting their economy for few decades. There are so many reasons, why Pakistan is so desperate to see Congress in power in India.

Features like water mark, reflectors colour change etc cannot be printed without the source code. Congress party supplied all these to Pakistan. Now If evidence is obtained Indian government can submit this evidence in WTO, IMF, International court and get Pakistan banned from international banking system. Pakistan will not be able to trade with any country. 😎
