Thank you Col. Wilkerson for commenting on the issue of retired 4-star generals placed at the head of the DOD. In Lloyd C. Austin III we have a Secretary of War, and I use that word ‘war’ deliberately, seems to exhibit the Viet Nam optimistic attitude “ damn-the-torpedoes-full-speed-ahead-we-ca-accomplish-anything-asked-of-us”, the”can do” spirit. It’s as if LBJ appointing William C. Westmoreland right out of Viet Nam to head the DOD. Austin will always say “can do” when she should say “sorry, sir, can’t do “ , or ‘shouldn’t do’.

As for the Israeli weapons restrictions, it's all theater Dima, from what I understand of it, it only covers around 3500 individual items and the US state department has already admitted they have shipped more than enough munitions to Israel already for them to do as they wish in Rafah. In regards American military engagements around the World, the first thing which needs to be done is to have an honest conversation of what constitutes the "national interest" and differentiate exactly what interests the concern about "security" are about. Americans have long been sold the idea that "what's good for GM is good for America" while closing their eyes to the historical fact that the American people themselves have NEVER faced a security threat beside the small British incursion which burned down the White House in 1814, and even this was a retaliation to prior aggressive American actions in Canada. Besides that, the riches of America's corporate plunder of the planet has never really "trickled down" to the average person, evidenced now when contrasting the gigantic infrastructure deficit all across the country with the unparalleled wealth increases by the very few.
Gen. Smedley Butler made the case quite clearly a century ago on who's behalf the US military might was wielded around the World. Nothing has change since except the vastly increased levels of US belligerence, aggression and violence, all for corporate America to maintain its hegemony and profits.

19:45 You ask, rhetorically, "What are we smoking?" I don't know what Washington is smoking, but in the UK, the Thames Consevators report, that the wildlife living in the River Thames, downstream from London, is sufferring from cocaine poisoning. (I'm sure I don't need to explain the significance of that to you.)

Larry Wilkerson is clearly a very smart, credentialed, and accomplished guy with a stellar track record. However, he is clearly clueless on very basic facts regarding China.
Starting a bit more than 100 years ago, China was forcibly COLONISED by European powers. Hong Kong was forcibly taken from China by UK (treaty signed at the point of a gun), Macau by Portugal, QingDao by Germany, and sections of ShangHai by various European colonisers. Taiwan was essentially colonised by the US through their proxys The Nationalists.
HK and Macau were only returned to China in 97 and 99 respectively. This is known as the 'Century of Humiliation ' and is very recent history in China and do not shoot the messenger, but this is a HUGE deal in China as even the youngest Chinese remember HK and Macau being repatriated by China.
Even on the US State Department website, US admits Taiwan is part of China, as negotiated by Henry Kissinger and signed by Mao and Richard Nixon in 1971.
Therefore, why is the US arming what the US government admits is a province of China? This would be like China arming Texas.
All of this information is easily confirmed on the internet.

everyone uses the term fog of war while politics is the realm, the field, the district, the milieu of war: why doesn't anyone apply the concept fog of politics in order to clarify intents and developments, to straighten out reality?
