My first thought was about the bone! I love ribs, any ribs just so long as they aren't over sauced. I wonder if daughter would eat these since she usually gets turned off if something seems too authentic. The best plain ribs are from Costco and they are rotisserie ribs. The last pork product my wife ever had were ribs that I made at home. She said "I'll never have better, time to stop killing the little piggies!"
@@AlanGoldwaser Maybe try these ones! Might be fun for the entire family. They send you two racks when you purchase one pack. We only cooked one rack for this video. It's a lot of food.
I haven't had meat in nearly 15 years, but I still occasionally miss the bone in ribs my dad would make. I will have to try this! Thank you both for taking the time to review it! 🥰
I meant to order these the day they came out and I even set an alarm on my phone but then I got called into work and missed it!!! I loved ribs so I am stoked about these. I set email reminders now for when they come back in stock lol
We were sent an email to sign up for the first alert. When we finally got that first alert, the ribs were sold out within minutes. We were able to buy at the second drop of alerts within the first hour of it being released. They're back on the wish list/alerts so sign up again if you haven't been successful!
They are available now!! I just ordered and trying to figure out what I'm going to use for sauce. My family loves the loins, so I hope we love these too!
@@PrincessandtheBearOmg I LOVED the MSF ribs!! Years ago, I begged them to bring them back!! My dad, who is a meat eater, loved them too and ate them all the time with me lol.
Omgosh love love love these kinds of videos! It's so nice to see a different angle in your lives than we normally see.. i love the chill, relaxed, homey vibes! ❤❤
Thank you sooo much!!! Hopefully we'll get back into that groove once we find the right setup in our new place. Right now we've got a lot of boxes all over the place.
The ribs were originally made by another company , I think Yves Brand and were delicious but Morning Star bought the recipe and priced them higher and not as good then discontinued them.
My dad and I LOVED those MSF ribs!! I begged MSF to bring them back yrs ago but they didn't. I also missed their Philly Cheesesteak patties!!! Has anyone tried them? They legit tasted JUST like a Philly cheesesteak! I was the most upset when they discontinued that!! They would not bring them back either! They said they didn't sell. I told them that was because no one even knew about them because only 1 store carried them across two states!!! I asked stores to carry them, but they didnt. I was so mad lol. I still miss them to this day! 20 something yrs later and no one has recreated the exact taste of a steakum!!
@@princess3193 yes they were bigger and delicious....I served them at my church to some meat eaters and they thought it was meat...loved them...Morningstar has this way of taking something good and destroying it ugg arrg!
We only cooked half of what we received. They cost $77 for the full order, so this rack we shared cost $38.50. With the sides we made, this meal for two cost about $50. That's cheaper than going out for us. So, if we could buy it at the store, we'd probably eat it once every 6 months or more, depending on cravings.
they are so cute together ♥ I wonder if it's a wood piece they fit in there to look like a bone. Very interesting and honestly Bear's description makes me want to try it!
I will never understand why vegan fake meat products go to such great lengths to appear like something that they’re not. Because a lot of if not most vegan foods, don’t actually taste bad but something like this that there would have to be a direct comparison, there is no comparison. Interesting review though!
Items like these make an easy transition for people considering either going vegan or dropping certain foods from their diet. It's not always a direct comparison but another option instead.
The "meat" is simply an oily gel with 25% soy protein concentrate. £59 UKP per kg ($73 USD equiv.). That's expensive plasticine! Not buying the 'transition food' argument, as many YT vegans regularly incorporate the fakery into their meals. I'll stick with WF omni.
@@Thatguyyoumettoday It's also because some vegans/plant based folk that aren't like the hardcore ones that everyone seemingly hates, like the taste and texture of meat but don't want to consume real meat due to the fact you have to kill the animal and how the animal is killed, therefore companies try to get as close to mimicking real meat.
The bones in the ribs are edible and filled with protein. The "meat" is made from soy protein and beetroot juice,

Absolutely! Thank you for watching.
Nice! I will look for this.
Check them out. They run sales sometimes
Tonight I made vegan fajitas using eat meats. It is made from mushroom roots and is quite a good meatless steak.

Wow very unique.
Very!
have you tried Omni brand crab cakes yet?
We have! We didn't put it in our fish less fish taste test video though. Too many vegan fish items that day 🤣
I tolerate Morningstar ribs but this sounds like a game changer. I have to try them.
Despise the morning star ribs. It's like the vegan McRib

I'd be interested to know how much a rack of ribs like this costs, and how often you feel like you'd purchase it considering the cost.

It's actually an edible piece.
Why call the bone weird? It wouldn't be ribs without some semblance of a bone, geniuses, it'd be "vegan meat slab"....
@@WatchDoggyDog the bone is edible
