As I said, I agree just in half. At the end of the day it's just your opinion and that's ok. Mine is that we don't share their lives, thoughts, feelings or goals. I've met a couple sex workers myself and it could be truly meaningful for them, a career path that they're proud of.
At the end the real issue are the young victims that are dragged to this world, they didn't really know about the consequences. The second girl looks rather sad. This is so sad & upsetting for everyone involved, I'm speechless. My friend is a survivor from being groomed & forced into this burgeoning industry (that uses old-school tactics to prey on young women & girls with the promise of opportunity).

Me personally and the way I was raised... not religious but very sexually conservative.... I would be much more impressed if these girls worked hard in school and made valuable achievements in STEM fields which need more females. Nn first off, people don’t look for work based on what they think will personally impress you. They’ll have a number of factors that will influence them, just like anyone else. Secondly many sex workers have secondary jobs in normative labour, or transition into other jobs later on, this is not unheard off at all. Thirdly no one is ‘selling’ their body, they’re selling an experience with their body, their bodies are still with them, just as they’re still their for any person who uses their body as a means to make money, a brickie doesn’t sell their body, they just use it, same as anyone in sex work. Lastly if showing a naked body makes men lose all respect for a person, how is that not the fault of the man? I’ve never thought less of anyone for having a body...or being able to make money from it. Treating someone like less than because they profit from their sexuality is a decision to make, its not inherent.

These young impressionable women are being driven by materialistic ideals and narcissism in a culture where they want more than they can afford to do so. And so, they turn to selling themselves and justifying it as ‘empowerment’. It would be more empowering if they did something that wasn’t expected of them, such as work in an immunology lab and create vaccines.

Also the judgment of people who sell their bodies, whilst not something I agree with, is inherent; biologically women who are more promiscuous are deemed as less sexually valuable due to their questionable fidelity leading to their partner’s questioning whether offspring are biologically there’s. There are many excellent books on this which you could read.
Nn if sex workers want to divulge how much money they make to help others understand what they do to an extend, so that they’re more likely to be treated with some sort of dignity, then of-course they can do that. The fact that people are more likely to have grant a sex workers some sort of respect based on how much money they earn can tells you that culturally we’re pretty preoccupied with consumerism, not just sex workers. This is short clip, you can’t gain all your information from TWO women’s edited perspectives. There is countless people doing sex work for too many reasons to list here, ranging between enjoyment to survival. Things aren’t as simple as you’d like to make them.
