One thing I would really like to see is an overview of batter box position. I often see so many times some characters move upwards in the batters box, some move downwards, but I really don’t understand when and why I should be doing this, and for what characters. I also would really appreciate a large overview of which batting position (righty/lefty) each character is best with. This is a lot of information that never really has been in-depth covered to my knowledge
I'm planning on making a video on batting soon! As far as box position, it's a mix of preference and reaction windows. If you're far back, you have more time to react but the pitcher can curve the pitch more and vice versa for in the front of the box.
I haven't played this game in years, but I'm really enjoying these videos talking about the strategies and why each character is so good, especially after learning that Bowser is top tier and there's so much more to the chemistry system.
I can't believe I actually have a reason to pick pianta now. I could never understand his bat, and I've never been a fan of accepting a gaurenteed out in exchange for a stronger arm infield. I'm just astonished by how we never found the potential of this star hit until now. Still don't know how comfortable I'll be picking him, since unlike other starhitters, I'd be entirely RELYING on his star hit, a factor that I think makes a lot of birdo captains predictable and easy to play around.
I'd love to see a Draft advice video that goes position by position. the tier list is great for overall who's good and bad, but as a new player, i sometimes findmyself with like, only one out fielder, or no catcher. i would love to see a video that goes over the top three-ish players at each position, and then maybe some good backups if they get taken
I think that Green Noki makes a good "poor man's" substitute if you don't get Yoshi for left field personally. Noki can (wo)man it, has a good star swing and can easily hit in front of and then boost PM.
Loving these videos. I haven't played since the old days so its cool learning things like the falcon pop and the differences between a pink menace and a yellow dud.
You should definitely do a breakdown of the top 3 characters at each position on the field. I feel like that would be a great starting point for beginners to learn how to build a team
(14:39) The affinity chart makes a lot of sense. Pianta are good guys but have a fairly short temper. Because the Nokis share an island with them, they learned to handle their temper. Diddy & Dixie Kong are probably a bit mischievous like Boo. Piantas do not appreciate pranks.
I’m new to this, I want to start my own league with friends, what’s my first move? I’m following the Dinger City Baseball Club Twitter. But I haven’t seen the resources you guys have, mainly; • Player stats • Net play (I’m sure you can’t comment on emulation, but can we be lead to the right places?) I love this content, keep it up!
So all the chemistry in the middle between peety and Noki, is it just for building up the star points in the beginning, or is there more than just strong chemistry in gameplay? And if so, do you have a video or a link that'll explain it a little better for me? I'm loving your videos and learning more about the game but wanna get some of the gameplay basics before character basics
As far as we know, the only ones that matter in game are 90+ and less than 20. The rest is just for team stars. I'll be doing some videos on general gameplay soon!

I'm trying to get all superstars in challenge mode and hitting a homer with Blue Pianta was giving me such a problem I looked for help and found this. It's a shame you can't pick color variants in challenge mode.
The pop fly only works this way with a righty. If you try to do it as a lefty, the ball goes much further. There's an explanation for it in the code of the game but I'm not too familiar with it.
The Thumbnail is perfect for the video. Pink Menace is my favorite character. He hits dingers when I use him

I am absolutely struggling with this too, my plan is to recruit Noki for chemistry and buy the power batter thing from the shop and hope for the best

Why would you not just do pop fly's with left-handed as well, so that the pitcher does not know what to plan their outfield for?
