This is the most important TH-cam video in gaming history
I think a great compliment to this video would be a separate one on who are the best chars for each position - basically, what stats and skills most benefit each position and the top 3-5 chars that have them.
I think the reason the monkeys are draftable so late is because there's two of them, and both have pretty bad bats. If dixie wasn't a thing, then I could see someone pick up diddy as early as 6th simply to deny the opponent a good pitcher.
Since dixie also exists, hate drafting one of the monkeys is pointless, and hate drafting both on a boo team is giving up too much ground on the batting side, especially since waluigi isn't even that much of a step down.
Thus, despite being around the 15 slot on most tier lists, they're almost always 9th pick.
I don't have Dixie unlocked and can confirm, Diddy hate draft is real and made me pitch with Toadsworth

This was an interesting watch, this was one of my favorite games growing up and i've played it a bit more in last year, def wanna play more so this was good timing lol.
amazing detail. I'd switch Mario and Luigi around due to risk of anti Chemistry to 1B from the RF. I'd also switch Wario and Pianta cuz of anti Chemistry with Petey from Pianta and even though Wario and Boo have Chemistry, so does Waluigi with Wario and the throws most likely get thrown from 1B rather than pitcher so the 30% increase likelier comes to effect
Daisy and Peach not even being considered is a shame. Elite middle infielders, solid on-base hitters. Bowser JR. and Paratroopa in the outfield isn’t great either. Chemistry with people in the infield doesn’t matter if they can’t get to the ball in time.
Bowser Jr has wall jump so he's important in outfield and Paratroopa is only in outfield since there isn't a better spot. CF is the least important position followed by LF if you dont have Yoshi. Peach and Daisy are fine in middle infield but they aren't better than DK Birdo Pianta or Wario (less horizontal range, weaker arms, no laser)

If I have second draft pick and choose dk 1st, would you prioritize yoshi as a second pick in order to improve banana ball? Yoshi 1st and dk second in the lineup.

How would you go about first picking Petey/Bro, since the game makes you pick a captain first?
In Nolan Draft rules, you can pick a dummy captain, like Peach or Jr., then advance to the next screen to pick Bro and Petey. Once you choose a character you wanna make your captain, go back to the captain selection screen and pick them there.
It’s a tad convoluted, but you can avoid all the hassle if you just draft on paper instead of in the game.

How you gonna have peach at the bottom of the tier list!? She's one of the best players for converting double plays and she's a great batter and pitcher
She’s a great short stop if you have chem at first, but her bat is awful and their is better options at shortstop. That’s most likely why they are at bottom tier.
Which Bro is best
Do the “pros” not use the stars on the characters? That could be a way to make the worst characters more balanced and usable
A majority of the community prefers stars off, there is a stars on scene though. Stars on generally makes the characters less unique and doesnt really bring new characters into the meta because it just makes the good characters even better.

It's unfortunately necessary for balance. We've found that it works though!
Or just let him be an op first pick, not every game needs a fan base to balance it
@@HutchesApprentice Our goal is to make the competitive environment as fair as possible. The game doesn't have a draft system implemented so if we were going to just leave the game as is then the goal would be to draft the good characters faster than your opponent lol. We created this rule to make the game fair without any major changes which is what we have done.
