This is how all epoxy videos on TH-cam should be. Not loud noises and time lapse. I come here to get information not to watch people show off. Thank you very much
Oh wow! That turned out awesome. I'm moving into a place that will need a new kitchen and I'm seriously considering building my own units and work tops. I wanted quartz worktop originally. But seeing this.. I'm seriously considering a live edge epoxy worktop now. Thanks. Oh, and stay classy. 😊
You call this trash wood but where i'm from i would have to pay an arm and a leg for these two beautiful pieces of wood. I'm jealous. Also, very nice table top.
I've got to do a build video like this on my channel, it'd fit right in with my build videos. Amazing video, work and skill thank you and please keep making this amazing content.
Fabulous job. I'm not a fan of bare ply but that is fab. Love the counter. Turned out fabulous. Love the finish on it too. Much respect. Stay classy young man.
Bud.. I have been following u for a while now and just realized u said okc.. im from duncan about an hour south of you would love to meet you sometime or get some lessons from you... big fan.. have a good one man
Would it make more sense to just add the pigment to the last of the three pours? Since you are using an opaque black pigment I would think that the first two layers are not visible under that last layer so any white pigment swirled into them would not be visible.
60 % of the time I ask a question...every time. Is that Oddies Oil food safe with the resin top? This is a solid idea (no pun intended...or maybe it was) and I'm thinking about doing one similar for my place. Stoked to see some plans for this.
Beautiful build. Where do you get the 3/4 inch Baltic Birch plywood? I have found 1/2 but not 3/4. Been wanting to go into Vintage, but afraid I would never leave. Also, how much epoxy did you use for the pour? Keep up the great work!
Maybe I missed it, but how are you attaching the sides of the backer panel? At the 10:12 mark there seems to be nothing for the side to attach to... The top attaches to the stretcher, middle is attached via the dividers, but the sides and I guess bottom as well?
Good catch. A detail I left out that will be discussed in the build article...whenever I get time to get that out. Hopefully after the holidays. Basically there’s enough to attach to on the top and middle to pull in the sides. For the bottom I added plywood strips inset the width on the 1/4” backer board at the back of the cabinets.
My original design called for the backer board to be a 3/4” plywood panel that stretched the length of the piece. I tweaked the design to save on materials and to open up that end so you can have two people sit at the kitchen island like a breakfast nook table.

put the pocket holes in Front and back on Drawers, that way back is not seen unless removed and Front is covered up with Drawer face

Hi random question for you can you do the shou sugi ban method or anything close to it using a lighter to burn the wood.
What? No Kreg drawer pull jig? I'm kinda shocked. :) Tabletop is awesome.
Very awesome that’s really nice!!! How high did you go with the sanding grits?
use stone coat countertops epoxy for better results
Love the whole project, but that top! Stay classy Jonny

hey! i have starting wood working. i live in edmond okc. would you be willing to show me a few pointers!?
Great!
Awesome! The wood must be dry?
I forwarded to see the end result.
How much would that cost in total? Making hours and materials together?

If you’re in OKC go to Phoenix Hardwood on N Classen. Thanks for watching, and it was about 3 gallons of epoxy.
Lovely but no edge banding ?
This turned out great but, at the end, I'm a bit disappointed you're not cutting on a cutting board that you made.
If the apoxie color was blue and pearl white
Where can I find wood like that?
Are any epoxies better than others or what is a good learning epoxy with spending $$$
I would like to know what kind of epoxy you use and how is the process
Crushing!
First class.
Great job, love the outcome, time for a self made cake ;-)
Thanks 🙏
Stay Classy
That amazing
Stay classy!
You forgot to mention which model of Rockler shop rags you used to wipe on the Watco poly.
No, I mentioned the Rockler shop tags. Go watch again.

Jonny Builds That makes sense. Thank you for the explanation 👍🏼
